The 2025 NFL Draft is around the corner, leaving fans arguing about the best place for Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur Sanders, to land after a successful college career with the Colorado Buffaloes.
While the speculation around the No. 1 pick continues, fans are left confused by the Tennessee Titans’ latest statement about not planning to miss out on a “generational talent.”
NFL Fans Left Puzzled by Titans Executive’s Plan for the 2025 Draft
During a press conference on Wednesday, Jan. 22, the Titans, who have the No. 1 pick in the 2025 NFL Draft, gave fans some insight into their plans.
Chad Brinker, the Titans president of football operations, made a cryptic statement during the presser where he said that the franchise is not gonna pass on a “generational talent” with the first pick in the NFL Draft.
The statement left fans debating whether Brinker was talking about Cam Ward or Shedeur Sanders.

“Why would you think he’s referring to Shedur when he talks about a generational talent? If anything, Travis Hunter would appear to be the most spectacular overall player in the draft. I still expect them to take Cam Ward at 1,” one fan said.
“It definitely means one of the Colorado boys. Which is why they should take Cam Ward because of the drama and ‘extra’ things that comes with the other two. Unfortunately for the Titans there is not a generation player in this draft just some really good prospects.” another fan defended Shedeur.

“Do people know what a Generation is? Sanders isn’t Generational he’s a good player w promise and a big mouth. I’m not saying he won’t be great I’m just saying maybe ease up on these labels,” another fan took a neutral stance.
“The only way you could claim Shedeur Sanders is generational is by saying he’s a 2nd Generation NFL player. Dude would have been the 4th QB picked last year at best, probably lower..,” another fan said in taking a dig at the Colorado QB.
“Click bait. Nope. Travis but maybe not even him. SS is a 3rd round project QB. He will be over draft bc 10 teams need QB1s in 2025. Five more need QB1A who can start and win many games any time during he season,” another fan added.

“Uhm…what ‘generational talent’ is coming out in this Draft? Did I miss something by chance?” another fan questioned.
Brinker also shared that new Titans general manager Mike Borgonzi will be making the final call on who to pick during the 2025 NFL Draft.
