Deion Sanders’ son, quarterback Shedeur Sanders, will leave his father behind as he declares for the 2025 NFL Draft after finishing his college career with the Colorado Buffaloes. The father-son duo gained recognition during their time at Jackson State, where they helped revitalize the program. Additionally, another of Coach Prime’s sons, safety Shilo Sanders, is also pursuing an NFL career.
This has led to speculations that even Coach Prime will leave Colorado and follow Shedeur to whichever team drafts him. Assuming there’s any weight to that conversation, will Shedeur want that is what one NFL analyst questions.
Katie Nolan Believes Shedeur Sanders Won’t Be Comfortable Working With Coach Prime in NFL
NFL analyst Katie Nolan offered a unique perspective on the father-son partnership.
During a recent discussion, Nolan acknowledged the love and respect Shedeur Sanders clearly has for his father but expressed skepticism about the challenges of maintaining a professional and personal relationship in such close quarters.
“I love my dad, and I know he’s watching this because I love my dad, and my dad loves me,” Nolan said. “But if I had to work with my dad — I reached a certain age where, if I were home with my parents for more than three days, I went nuts. Like, I can’t really be around my parents like that because I’m my own person now, and they can’t ground me anymore.
“I just don’t understand how you’re going to be a pro athlete, like a desirable adult man, partaking in certain activities that desirable adult men partake in — with your dad.”
Sanders Addresses Coach Prime’s Future With Cowboys
Another rumor that has set off is the potential reunion of Deion Sanders and the Dallas Cowboys. Last week, Coach Prime disclosed that he has indeed met with Cowboys owner Jerry Jones to discuss the job but also said he won’t be leaving the Colorado football program yet.
Despite the clarity, several analysts believe that if Prime receives a job offer from the Cowboys, the coach won’t deny it.
Shedeur recently fielded this question on his “2Legendary” podcast.
“It’s a decision on him and him,” Shedeur said. “It’s not really up to me. I don’t really have a say in anything at all. I’m coming into the league. I don’t really have much of a say… I’m just thankful for whatever situation comes.”
So, instead of spilling any beans, Shedeur left Coach Prime to decide on what he wanted to do in the future and that he has no say in it.
