Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen were able to overcome their emotions and give NFL fans a wholesome moment of sportsmanship following the Buffalo Bills’ 27-25 Divisional Round win against the Baltimore Ravens at home.
Lamar Jackson and Josh Allen Display Sporting Spirit, Hug Each Other After Game
As the Bills kneeled down to see out the final 38 seconds, Jackson went onto the field and straight to his positional opponent to congratulate him for the win.
Both Allen and Jackson were gracious in their praise for each other. Allen said he had nothing but love for his opponent, calling him a stud.
Jackson, in turn, held his disappointment from defeat in check, saying:
“Good game bro, you already know that! Keep doing your thing, baby. Go get some, man! Get some!”

One would expect nothing less from these two players, who have stayed humble and classy despite facing minute inquisitions from the media and fans.
Bills vs. Ravens Battle Between MVP Candidates
Allen and Jackson are the two front-runners for NFL MVP after both put together exemplary individual seasons.
Allen led the Bills to a 13-4 season despite the roster losing star performers like Stefon Diggs, Micah Hyde, and Jordan Poyer. He finished the season with 4,262 all-purpose yards, 28 passing touchdowns, and 12 rushing touchdowns, with just six interceptions and one fumble. His output, given the Bills’ relative lack of offensive talent, made 2024 perhaps his most impressive regular-season campaign yet.
Jackson, on the other hand, set NFL records of all sorts. He became the first quarterback in NFL history with over 4,000 yards passing and 900 yards rushing, finishing the year with 4,172 and 915 on each count, respectively. He also became the only quarterback in history to have 40+ passing touchdowns while throwing four interceptions or less.
Jackson finished the season with a barnstorming 99.8 QB+ rating on PFN’s NFL QB+ metrics. Allen sits at 93.2 for the year so far. Jackson was named to a first-team All-Pro selection, while Allen was given a second-team selection.
The difference on the night between the two players ultimately came down to turnovers. Jackson had an interception and a fumble during the first half, while Allen had none.
The Ravens had the chance to tie the game late in the fourth quarter. Down by eight points, Baltimore marched down the field and scored a touchdown with 1:33 remaining. However, tight end Mark Andrews had a catastrophic drop on their two-point conversion, and the Ravens fell short in saving their season.
