If not in front of the public, Deion Sanders’ kids talk trash in his absence, but in a fun way. Two of Coach Prime’s sons — Shedeur Sanders and Shilo Sanders — will declare for the 2025 NFL Draft, parting ways with their father, with whom they have been learning since their time at Jackson State.
To prepare for the NFL Scouting Combine, scheduled for late February and early March 2025, the brothers visited the Colorado Buffaloes training facility and trained under strength and conditioning coach Maurice Sims.
Deion Sanders Hits Back at Shilo for Seeking Claims if He Ran 40-Yard Dash
Deion Sanders Jr., the eldest son of Coach Prime, covered Shedeur and Shilo’s visit to the Colorado facility to get in shape ahead of the NFL Combine.
Of course, when the two meet, talking trash is the norm; this time, it involved their father’s NFL Combine stats.
The banter starts with Shilo claiming to run a 40-yard dash in 4.5 seconds and seeking validation from Sims. Shedeur pushes him to compare his dash with Coach Prime’s, side-by-side. However, Shilo isn’t having it, saying there’s no evidence of him running a 40.
“There’s no proof your daddy ran a 4.5. He’s the only guy they don’t even have footage of running a 40,” Shilo told Shedeur.
Coach Prime, who participated in the banter, uploaded the video clip to his Instagram. He wrote, “Shilo said, has anybody seen #CoachPrime run his 40?” 😂😂.”
Seeing this banter between father and sons, several fans reacted to the video, “I love how they talk junk about Prime. It is hilarious 😂,” one fan commented.
Some fans defended the legacy of the Pro Football Hall of Famer.
“Deion ran a 4.2; it’s on yt [YouTube] 😂,” one fan said about the NFL legend’s numbers.
“When you can jog 35/40 yards away from the end zone on special teams returns & interception returns, that 4.2 footage ain’t needed. We’ve seen it in the game,” one fan said.
“Love these dudes! Youngins watch your dad run a punt return back against the Giants and he highsteps the last 20-30 yards while grown men run full speed for their special teams lives and couldn’t come anywhere near him 😂😂😂. The funniest thing ever! Prime is 4.2 all day,” another commented.
What’s Sanders’ NFL Combine 40-Yard Dash Time?
For what it’s worth, according to the NFL Combine Results website, Prime Time’s 40-yard dash was recorded at 4.29 seconds. Moreover, he reportedly completed a 20-second split in 2.56 seconds and clocked a speed of around 19.07 MPH.
