Get To Know Russell Wilson’s Wife, Ciara

Of course, Wilson isn’t your average football player’s wife. Known for hit songs like “1, 2 Step,” “Goodies,” “Oh,” and “Lose Control,” Wilson is a Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter who has sold over 45 million records worldwide.

Wilson, best known simply as “Ciara,” has collaborated with artists such as Justin Timberlake, Missy Elliott, Chris Brown, Nicki Minaj, Ludacris, 50 Cent, Lil Baby, T-Pain, Young Jeezy, Nelly, Chamillionaire, Lil Jon, Usher, T.I., Pitbull, Petey Pablo, Major Lazer, Summer Walker, and Busta Rhymes, among others.

Ciara met her hubby at a college basketball game in 2015, and the two started dating. The Steelers quarterback was previously married to his high school sweetheart, Ashton Meem. They married in January 2012 and split in April 2014.

“I met my Boo back in 2015. I’ll never forget the day that he and I met… It’s like, when you know, you know,” Ciara said. “What I love is my husband’s heart and how he thinks of us. He’s always thinking of us. He loves serving at heart. That’s just who he is in general.”

In July 2016, the power couple married in England at Peckforton Castle. Celebrities like La La Anthony, Jennifer Hudson, and Kelly Rowland attended.

The couple have three children together: Sienna, Win, and Amora. Also, Wilson has helped raise Future Zahir (Ciara’s child with rapper Future).

“He will go from football practice to taking Future to baseball practice or taking Sienna to ballet. He doesn’t want to miss a moment,” Ciara said. “He and I share the same vision for our babies, which I think makes the world of a difference, that we’re on the same page.

“It’s important that our kids… They have way more access than we had growing up, so we want to make sure we keep them humble in the process to make sure they do things like having to pick up after themselves and knowing that life isn’t going to be handed to you.”
