Three-Time Pro Bowler Rips Shedeur Sanders, Makes Wild Bet Colorado QB Will Fall to Third Round

A former NFL Pro Bowler believes Colorado Buffaloes QB Shedeur Sanders could fall incredibly far in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Most anticipate Colorado Buffaloes quarterback Shedeur Sanders to be a top-three pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

It’s possible the Tennessee Titans will opt for Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward with the top selection, and the Browns will continue to trust Deshaun Watson and therefore go in a different direction with the second overall pick.

If that’s the case, the New York Giants not taking Sanders off the board at No. 3 would come as a shock. The Las Vegas Raiders at No. 6 would feel like the absolute latest the Buffaloes QB can be selected in the scenario where New York passes.

Still, a three-time Pro Bowler claims Sanders will fall much further come draft night.

Delanie Walker Predicts Sanders To Be Selected in the Third Round

The “Bussin’ With The Boys” podcast features multiple Pro Bowlers in Delanie Walker and Taylor Lewan, along with long-time linebacker William Compton. It’s safe to say this trio of former NFL players is qualified to speak on the subject of the NFL Draft, but it doesn’t mean their opinions are always correct.

In this case, Walker predicted Sanders to fall outside of the first two rounds of the draft, which is quite surprising considering how weak the QB position is this year. If the group was stronger, it’s possible the Colorado QB wouldn’t hear his name called on Day 1, but considering he’s a consensus top-two quarterback in the class, it would be a shocker if he went anywhere later than Round 1.

The following conversation took place between Compton, Walker, and Lewan:

Compton: “I come in, and he’s just talking nonsense about how Shedeur Sanders isn’t gonna get drafted in the first round because he probably saw a tweet that a couple scouts don’t have him as a first-round grade.”

    Walker: “And I graded him!”

Compton: “You graded him? What do you know about quarterbacks? Nothing. … [We have] a $1,000 bet that he goes in the top two rounds. If he goes beyond that, Delanie wins.”

Lewan: “I think you’re going to lose $1,000!”

    Walker: “You’re crazy!”

Compton: “He said Shedeur is going to slip to the fifth round! Mark my words.”

Walker: “This is an offensive-line draft this year, a lot of o-line are going to go [early]. That’s going to push a lot of the…”

Compton: “It’s an offensive line draft every year, bro!”

Lewan: “He’s going to find his way into that first round. Hey, you lost $1,000.”

Compton: “He’s a good quarterback! Shedeur is a good quarterback!”

Lewan proposes that they should take it back. Walker said no, he’s confident.

Compton: “He’s so confident that we shook twice on that bet! Twice!”

With the NFL Draft not taking place until April 24, there’s no telling whose stock will rise and fall in the coming months.
