Matthew Stafford led his team, the Los Angeles Rams, to a fantastic victory Monday night against the Minnesota Vikings. This win came at a difficult stage not only for the city but for his family as well.
The Wild Card game was moved to Arizona due to the Palisades fire that has engulfed Los Angeles. This meant that Stafford’s family had to travel for the game. His wife, Kelly, showcased the grit of her daughter doing so despite being ill.

Before the game, Kelly had revealed that her twin daughters were hospitalized due to the flu. However, this did not stop the family from attending the important matchup.
Kelly took to her Instagram to showcase her family’s determination through her stories.
She uploaded a video that showed her entire family boarding the bus, with her one daughter carrying a ventilator. “We made it on the bus,” she captioned.
During the game, her daughter’s condition did not improve, and it seemed like she had been throwing up. On her podcast, Kelly revealed that her daughters were puking before being hospitalized. “Fun to watch my guy, but damn we are glad this game is over,” she captioned her story.
The Rams advanced to the Divisional Round with a 27-9 win over the Vikings. Stafford showcased his brilliance by throwing for 209 yards and scoring two TDs. However, after the game, he also rushed to care for his sick daughter.
“This girl in the middle of her pukes in the bathroom, ‘Mommy are we still winning’ and “She couldn’t wait to be in his arms,” Kelly captioned on the picture of the father-daughter duo.
After the game, the entire family returned together, and Kelly continued to care for her daughter. She posted a video of the family relaxing on the flight. “Almost home… such damn troopers,” she captioned.
The Rams will play their next game on the road as well. Stafford and Co. will face the Philadelphia Eagles in the NFC Championship Game. Fans hope Stafford’s family is fit to cheer him on Jan. 19.
