Philadelphia Eagles legend Jason Kelce supported his former team by rocking a “Quinyonamo Bay” hoodie ahead of their Wild Card showdown with the Green Bay Packers at Lincoln Financial Field.
In the same vein as “Revis Island,” Quinyonamo Bay is the fan-chosen nickname of Eagles shutdown cornerback Quinyon Mitchell. “I like it. I think it’s cool,” Mitchell said regarding the moniker earlier this season.

The Eagles struck gold with Mitchell, selected 22nd overall in the 2024 NFL Draft, who wasted no time making his mark in the NFL. His combination of speed, agility, and football IQ turned heads from preseason to the playoffs, proving he was more than ready for the transition from college to the pros.
The former Toledo standout tallied 12 pass breakups and 46 total tackles in 16 games. He allowed 41 receptions on 75 targets (54.7%) for 472 yards. He was responsible for just three touchdowns all season, the first not coming until Week 16.
Mitchell’s knack for reading offenses and delivering game-changing plays quickly solidified him as a fan favorite and a rising star in the NFL. With Mitchell anchoring the Eagles’ secondary, the team’s defense has grown more formidable, holding top offenses at bay throughout the season.
Eagles Defense Dominates in 2024 NFL Season
Philadelphia’s defense was a force to be reckoned with in the 2024 NFL season, cementing its reputation as one of the league’s elite units. With standout performances from veterans like Josh Sweat and emerging stars like Mitchell, the Eagles consistently stifled opposing offenses.
Powered by depth, versatility, and discipline, the Eagles’ defense played a crucial role in the team’s playoff quest, which included 12 wins in 13 games.
The Eagles’ defense overall is second-best in PFN’s Defense+ ranking. The metric combines statistics such as yards per play, points per drive, sack percentage, turnover percentage, success rate against the run and pass, third-down conversion rate, red-zone efficiency, pressure percentage when not blitzing, and various expected points added (EPA) measures against both the run and pass.
