Von Miller will live his full circle moment when the Buffalo Bills play the Denver Broncos in the Wild Card round of the NFL playoffs. The 35-year-old began his career with the Broncos, leading them to a victory in Super Bowl 50 and being the game’s MVP.
Miller’s career with the Broncos is inked in the history books, and even though he’ll take the field against them on Wild Card Weekend, he has a spot for his former team.
Von Miller Shares Emotions About Facing Broncos
For a decade, Denver was Miller’s turf. Super Bowl 50 MVP, eight Pro Bowls, and that shiny Lombardi Trophy — Miller practically willed it to Mile High in 2015.
Now, he’s suiting up in Bills blue, ready to remind his former team why his name still echoes in their halls.
This game is about making history. Miller is gunning to join Matt Millen as the only two players to win Super Bowls with three different teams (Miller also won Super Bowl 56 with the Los Angeles Rams).
Ahead of Sunday’s matchup, Miller addressed the media, saying, “Oh, you know, I had two days to really think about it. It’s all love. I can’t even start to play that delusion of hatred, or I can’t even start to play that game. I would put myself so far in a place that’s not even close to being reality. It would be hurtful to the way I want to play,” he began.
The Texas native went on to express his love for his former franchise.
“I love those guys. I love everything about the Denver Broncos. I pay close attention to the Denver Broncos.
“You know I haven’t even talked to Bo Nix or follow him on Instagram or nothing like that and I feel like I know Bo Nix just by staying in touch with Broncos Country and staying in touch with the Broncos,” Miller said.
“It’s a full circle moment. Nothing but love for the Broncos and Broncos Country”

The Bills linebacker is aware of the changes Denver had since his departure.
“I know they’re building a new facility. They got new jerseys. All the new players from, from [Marvin] Mims and all the guys. Never met these guys, but I feel like I’ve met them because I pay close attention to the Denver Broncos,” he added.
Miller revealed that he is still in touch with Patrick Surtain II, Courtland Sutton, and Garett Bolles and that they talk once or twice every single month. They had no idea, though, they would play against each other in a playoff game.
When the Bills’ linebacker is on the phone with Bolles, they feel they are still in the same locker room. But that won’t stop Miller from laying it all out there against his former teammates.
“I want to win. It’s nothing but love. But those small three to four-second bursts when I’m playing in the game, that 60 minutes while I’m out there, I want to win. I want to win the game. I want to beat the Denver Broncos,” he told the media.
Miller acknowledged his full-circle moment, saying, “The last time that they made the playoffs was, you know,[the]last time we won a Super Bowl. So, it’s a full circle moment, and it’s nothing but love and respect for the Denver Broncos and Broncos Country, for sure.”
On Sunday at 1 p.m. ET, when the Broncos and Bills collide, it won’t just be another playoff game. It’ll be Miller’s shot to flex his legacy and chase history.
