Colorado Buffaloes safety Shilo Sanders, who finished his college career after his final appearance against the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl, released a rap song titled “Hate 2 Love.”
The song, which was released on Friday, Jan. 3, has been the talk of the town, especially in college media. The Sanders brothers also chimed in with their reactions to the song.
Shedeur and Deion Sanders Jr. React to Shilo’s Latest Off-Football Move
During Tuesday’s “2Legendary with Shedeur Sanders” podcast, the Colorado Buffaloes quarterback and Deion Sanders Jr., aka Bucky, were surprised to learn that Shilo actually put the song out, which he was continuously excited about over the last month and so.
Bucky enthusiastically praised Shilo’s song, saying, “It’s fire; I’m not going to lie. It’s a song where he goes, he said, ‘I’m amazing.’ I said, ‘Bro, that goes hard, bro. I’m not going to lie to you.'”
However, Shedeur playfully called out Shilo for not featuring him in the project, saying, “He didn’t put me on a feature, though. He didn’t put you on a feature, though. You know how I get. You know how we always talk about, ‘Yeah, we gonna drop, we gonna drop,’ but never do. He actually did it.”
Bucky also shared that the public is loving Shilo’s first rodeo in music.
“People love it too. It’s funny because people kept DMing, like posting the mentions on Instagram, and I was like, ‘What is this?’ They kept tagging me because I didn’t know it was Char in that picture, his album cover. I’m like, ‘Bro, what is this?’ Then I was like, ‘Oh, OK, cool.’ Yeah, but yeah, shout out to Sh, man,” Bucky said.
As for Shedeur, the NFL-bound quarterback said he’d love to listen to Shilo’s “Hate 2 Love” on a beach.
“I’ve been bumping it all day. I’m ready to listen to it on the beach, man, so I’ve been saving all of my plays for when I’m out there,” the signal-caller said.
Not the First Time Coach Prime’s Sons Have Embraced a Music Career
This isn’t the first time one of Coach Prime’s sons has made a footstep in a music career. Bucky released a single, “Iggy,” in May 2024.
Coach Prime himself has also indulged in a music career. Dating back to 1994, the Pro Football Hall of Famer released the “Prime Time” album, which was a hit. Shedeur also released his rap song “Perfect Timing” in May 2024.
Not to mention, Coach Prime’s daughter Deiondra Sanders is engaged to R&B singer Jacquees.
So apart from Shelomi Sanders, almost all of Coach Prime’s five children are in one way or another related to music.
