Deion Sanders loves to have fun on social media. He did that on Tuesday when his friend, Chad 'Ochocinco' Johnson posted about coaching.

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is no stranger to social media. He is often active on X (formerly Twitter) and Instagram, making posts and talking to people. On Tuesday, he made a post that was poking fun at former NFL player, Chad Johnson, aka Chad Ochocinco. Deion Sanders Jokes He Would Have Hired Chad ‘Ochocinco’ Johnson as a Coach

Johnson has a fiery personality that often makes headlines in the football world. He often makes news for his takes on his podcast with former NFL tight end Shannon Sharpe. On Tuesday, he posted on X, saying:

“I want to coach for the Bengals or be an intern.”

Fans were uncertain whether he was serious because Johnson often posts random things on X that he does not mean. However, Coach Prime took this opportunity to make a joke that he would have hired him as a coach in Colorado.

“See I was gonna hire u but u coaching for them streets!”

Sanders is joking that he would have hired Johnson if he was loyal to him rather than saying he wants to get hired by another team. However, it appears that these were all jokes.

There have been no substantial rumors that Johnson has talked to NFL or college teams about coaching opportunities. So, this was likely just two friends joking around on social media.

Sanders Prepares for Busy Few Months as Sons Prepare for 2025 NFL Draft

Although Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes have finished their season, it is still a busy time of year for him. Both of his sons who played for him this year, quarterback Shedeur Sanders and safety Shilo Sanders, are set to enter the 2025 NFL Draft. As a result, they must prepare for the NFL Scouting Combine in late February and early March.

Shedeur is projected to be one of the top picks in the draft. He is viewed by most draft experts as one of the top two quarterbacks in the draft alongside Miami’s Cam Ward.

With the final week of the NFL season complete, we know the Tennessee Titans have the first overall pick. There is a strong possibility they will take a quarterback, and as a result, Shedeur is in contention to be drafted first overall. Conversely, Shilo is expected to be a late-round pick.
