    Travis Hunter Surprises Brother Trayvis

On Christmas Eve, the Colorado star surprised Trayvis with the news. In clips circulating online, Travis is seen exchanging playful banter with his brother before he says:

“Welcome to the Adidas family, dawg! I had to get you a little deal!”

Travis Hunter goes in for a hug and gifts Trayvis a striking white pair of Adidas shoes.

When the negotiations were still happening, Travis made it known on his eponymous show that the brand was perfect for him because he wouldn’t sign with an organization that “got no family involved.”

Further talking about how Adidas’ personnel visited his family, Travis said: “They came out, spoke to my family, spoke to me. They had to add Trayvis in the deal, so it’s gotta be right if Trayvis in it.”

Trayvis plays wide receiver at Effingham County High School in Georgia, where he accumulated 496 receiving yards and six touchdowns last year.

Talking about his own deal, the 2024 Heisman honoree said in a statement:

“Working with Adidas is a special opportunity for me and something that I’m really excited about as I look ahead to what’s next. The partners they currently have are top-tier, with some of the best young guys like me. I’m pumped to join the three stripes as we continue pushing the boundaries of the sport we all love.”

General Manager of US Sports at Adidas, Aaron Seabron, explained why Travis was the perfect athlete for them:

“As part of our continued investment in the next generation of athletes, we’re proud to partner with someone whose passion for sport and drive to create an impact on and off the field mirrors our own.

“Travis is undeniably one of the most dynamic athletes in any sport, and we’re excited to collaborate with him and celebrate all that he accomplishes as he transitions into the next phase of what promises to be a long and successful career.”

Multiple outlets project Travis Hunter as a Day 1 pick, including Pro Football Network’s latest mock draft. The New England Patriots, who have a gaping hole in both their offensive and defensive lineups, are a team projected to be in on Hunter if he is available when they select.
