Patrick Mahomes Has Interesting Suggestion for Travis Kelce’s Christmas Gift

In an interview with Kay Adams and Netflix, Mahomes was asked about his Christmas gift plans for Kelce. Mahomes, who never misses a chance to put his humor to use, came up with a rather interesting answer.

Without missing a beat, the reigning MVP dropped a comical roast, saying, “He’s got everything… Maybe some acting lessons.”

Mahomes’ remark seemingly pokes fun at Kelce’s growing off-field fame, including his hosting stint on Saturday Night Live and his high-profile relationship with global superstar Taylor Swift.

Kelce, who has become a cultural icon as a football player, can benefit from it. The Chiefs’ TE spoke with PEOPLE last year about his SNL experience and interest in pursuing more acting projects.

“We grew up watching SNL whenever we had a chance to sit down on Saturday nights,” Travis said, adding, “So I’m definitely interested [in pursuing more acting projects], but that’s a whole new craft that I feel like I really got to lock in and focus on [before I do].”

Starting the season on a high note, Kelce confessed that while he’s going all out, he has much more coming up after the season ends, pointing toward more interesting appearances.

The Chiefs’ tight end also stunned with his debut at Swift’s concert in London, further strengthening the talks of his interest in the entertainment industry.

In such a scenario, Mahomes’ thoughtful gift choice serves his interest.

“[I am] gearing up for this season all over again, knowing that there’s just a whole lot more to go after,” noted Kelce.

Meanwhile, the Kansas City TE has plenty to celebrate this year. The 33-year-old Kelce is enjoying his 12th season in the NFL, with 89 receptions for 739 yards and two touchdowns on the year as one of Mahomes’ most reliable targets.

The Chiefs’ 14-1 season reinforces their place in the three-peat race as the NFL’s top team, with Mahomes leading the charge. With 3,608 passing yards and 23 touchdowns this year, the star quarterback is steering Kansas City toward his vision.

The happy news is that the Chiefs’ locker room is full of smiles, and the bond between Mahomes and Kelce is as strong as ever in their quest for history.
