Patrick Mahomes Has Special Gift Ideas for Special Ones

Mahomes saved his most creative gifts for two of the most important figures in his career — head coach Andy Reid and star tight end Travis Kelce. In a lighthearted Netflix video, Mahomes joked about keeping it simple for Reid. “Cheeseburger is the easiest one, and it’s one that he’ll appreciate the most,” Mahomes quipped, referencing Reid’s well-known love for burgers.

When asked about Kelce, Mahomes didn’t hold back his humor. “Guys got everything… maybe some acting lessons,” he said, bursting into laughter alongside the host. Have a look:

This jab comes as Kelce made headlines for his cameo in Netflix’s upcoming Happy Gilmore 2. Kelce’s cameo in the sequel to the beloved 1996 comedy features him as an attendant who greets Adam Sandler’s Happy Gilmore with the line, “It’s great to see you back, Mr. Gilmore.”

While some fans found the cameo amusing, others joked about Kelce’s acting skills. Mahomes’ suggestion for acting lessons might be the perfect stocking stuffer for his tight end teammate.

Beyond the holiday fun, the Chiefs have serious business. They want to extend the league-best 14-1 record after the Christmas Day matchup against the Pittsburgh Steelers. A win would secure the AFC’s top seed, granting them a first-round bye and home-field advantage in the playoffs.

Although Mahomes, battling a packed schedule amidst ankle concerns, isn’t thrilled about facing the Steelers at Acrisure Stadium, the game against Pittsburgh will be Kansas City’s third game in 11 days.

“You never want to play this many games in this short of time,” Mahomes said. “It’s just not great for your body. But at the end of the day, it’s your job, your profession. You have to come to work and do it,” the Chiefs QB stated.

Mahomes, who has been nursing an ankle injury, assured fans he’s in better shape heading into the Pittsburgh clash. “We’ve done a couple of walkthroughs, and I feel like I can move around and do what I need to,” Mahomes said.

Bringing gifts for teammates and head coach off the field and leading the Chiefs’ attack on the field, Mahomes is proving why he’s the heart and soul of Kansas City.
