The Aaron Rodgers and New York Jets drama continues to take twists and turns in its journey. What was once supposed to be a rejoicing year for fans in New York has now become like any other season for the franchise.
After the opus on Woody Johnson earlier in the week, the attention once again came back to their quarterback after another sub-standard game against the Los Angeles Rams.
Alongside the attention, a possible change of scenery also came into question. For weeks, rumors about Rodgers potentially changing teams have been making the rounds. Yet, it looks like there might be a preferred destination that the one-time Super Bowl champion has in mind.
Aaron Rodgers Gives Hint for Next Team on The Pat McAfee Show
During the season, reports of Johnson debating about putting Rodgers on the bench made the light of day. However, no such decision came to pass, and Rodgers has soldiered on as the Jets’ starting quarterback. But with the team in a worse state than last season at 4-11, changes might be incoming.
After firing the head coach and general manager, the man next in line to be replaced might be Rodgers. And in his latest appearance on The Pat McAfee Show, he might have given everyone the first hint of where he might end up.
Almost unprompted, Rodgers exclaimed with a sly smile, “Shoutout to the great state of Tennessee, you know? Phenomenal state.”
As he carried on, the smirk on Rodgers’ face was clear as day to see, knowing the rumors would start swirling.

Regardless, the four-time MVP carried on with his praise.
“Great people, no state income tax. Yeah, a lot of great country music out there. Barbecue, good barbecue there. Memphis.”
With Will Levis and Mason Rudolph currently holding down the quarterback position for the Tennessee Titans, it’s possible the team is in enough need of a serviceable QB to go after Rodgers. However, at 3-12, Tennessee has a good chance of drafting a high-end quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft.
With a solid all-around squad, especially with quality skill-position guys, the Titans are possibly just a quarterback away from becoming a playoff contender. And with the Jets experiment going as it has, Rodgers might be looking at his next destination.
On the year, his 3,511 passing yards and 24 touchdowns have been far from his usual self, with a passer rating of 90.8 well under his career average of 102.7.
Additionally, Rodgers’ stats haven’t translated to victories, making any team hesitant. Still, for Tennessee, those numbers would be a huge upgrade over their current room.
