Kenneth Walker III Injury Update: Latest on Seahawks RB After Exiting Game vs. Vikings in Week 16

Kenneth Walker III saw his day cut short in Week 16. What's the latest on the Seahawks running back?

Seattle Seahawks running back Kenneth Walker III limped off near the end of the team’s Week 16 game vs. the Minnesota Vikings. Below are the latest injury updates on the Seahawks starting running back.

What Happened to Kenneth Walker III?

Walker limped off after getting stuffed for no gain with 5:52 remaining.

Walker had missed the Seahawks’ previous two games with a calf injury. However, he was a full participant in the final two days of practice on Thursday or Friday, seemingly putting the injury behind him.

The Seahawks running back was later declared doubtful to return by the team with an ankle injury and ended his day with 31 rushing yards and 28 receiving yards.

After the game, head coach Mike Macdonald noted that Walker was going to get more imaging on his ankle to clarify the extent of the injury. Reports from the locker room noted that the running back was limping heavily.

The Seahawks face the Chicago Bears on the road next week needing a win to keep their season alive.

Potential Fantasy Fallout From Walker’s Injury

    Analysis via PFN’s Jason Katz

Walker just returned after a two-game absence due to calf and ankle injuries. In those two games, it was all Zach Charbonnet, including one overall RB1 performance. Charbonnet saw snap shares of 96%, 84%, 80%, and 80% in the four games he started.

We have seen a bit more of Kenny McIntosh this week, but if Walker has to miss another game, you have to imagine it will be Charbonnet back in the starting lineup as the main back. He will be a must-start high RB2, at worst.
