Aaron Rodgers took an awkward sack in the fourth quarter of the New York Jets' Week 16 matchup vs. the Los Angeles Rams. What's the latest on the Jets' QB?

New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers suffered an injury scare in the fourth quarter of their Week 16 matchup vs. the Los Angeles Rams. What’s the latest on the Jets’ starting quarterback?

    What Happened to Aaron Rodgers?

Rodgers lost the ball on a strip sack with 11:53 remaining in the fourth quarter. He was crumpled up awkwardly on the play and left for further examination in the blue medical tent.

The play was reminiscent of a similar sack Rodgers took against the Minnesota Vikings back in Week 5 when he was folded backward on a very awkward play.

However, Rodgers did manage to stay in the game, returning for the next drive after receiving some medical attention on the sideline. Tyrod Taylor was warming up and is the Jets’ backup quarterback.

Potential Fantasy Fallout From Rodgers’ Injury

Rodgers has been more efficient recently than during the first portion of this season, and he’s done so by focusing almost exclusively on feeding Garrett Wilson and Davante Adams. Should Rodgers miss time, both of those receivers see their floors lowered in a significant way.

Breece Hall was being used as a featured back before the injury to Rodgers, and while his value takes a hit should his QB miss time, his role appears safe enough at this moment to consider him a RB2 in Week 17.
