‘Parents Really Got Creative’ – Fans Discuss NFL-Bound Travis Hunter’s Brother’s Viral Clip

    Published on

Social media users respond to viral video of Travis Hunter's younger brother, Trayvis, running routes, as well as his pass-catching abilities.

Earlier this week, Trayvis Hunter, the younger brother of Colorado Buffaloes star dual-threat player and recent Heisman Trophy winner, Travis Hunter, began trending on social media. The increase in social media activity came after a video was released highlighting the younger brother’s route running and receiving ability while practicing at a local football facility.

Trayvis is a wide receiver who currently plays for the Effingham County Rebels varsity football program in Springfield, Georgia. Also donning the No. 12 jersey like his brother, Trayvis is expected to be a member of the 2027 class.

What Does the Trending Video of Trayvis Hunter Show?

In the previously mentioned post released to X (formerly known as Twitter), Trayvis can be seen running a route and catching a pass before turning upfield and running after the catch.

The video was captioned “𝗧𝗥𝗘𝗡𝗗𝗜𝗡𝗚: 2027 WR Trayvis Hunter, the younger brother of Travis Hunter putting in work at the South FL Express retreat. The Hunter genetics need to be studied 🤯”

In response, social media users have begun discussing the clip and the similarities between the brothers’ names.

One individual highlighted how impressive the video of Trayvis was by detailing how “He looks sharp.”

Meanwhile, another user revealed how many of the comments attached the post have been jokingly involving the similarity between the names Travis and Trayvis.

“All the comments all about the name 🤣,” they explained.

Travis Hunter’s 2025 NFL Draft Projection

Although Trayvis is still a while away from playing college football and potentially being drafted to the NFL, his older brother Travis is the recent Heisman Trophy winner and is expected by many to be one of the first players taken come next year’s NFL Draft.

This sentiment is shared by Pro Football Network’s Jacob Infante, who has Hunter being selected No. 3 overall by the New England Patriots in his latest 2025 NFL Mock Draft.

As Infante notes, “Drake Maye looks the part early in his NFL career, but the Patriots are lacking at several positions on both sides of the ball. If the 2025 NFL Draft ends up ordered like this, they could have the chance at arguably the top player in the class.

“As a wide receiver, Travis Hunter has the athleticism, route-running savvy, and ball skills needed to get open and make big plays. I project him even better as a cornerback, where his route-recognition skills are strong, and his ball skills would immediately put him in the NFL’s elite in that category.

“Pairing him and Christian Gonzalez in the secondary would give New England something truly special for its defense.”
