The Denver Broncos will bring back their “Summit White” uniforms tonight for Thursday Night Football against the Los Angeles Chargers. In a game that could have massive playoff implications in the AFC, Denver is pulling out all the stops to try and impress. Tonight, it all starts with the uniforms.
What Is Denver’s “Mile High Collection”?
The “Mile High Collection” debuted in Week 10 vs. Kansas City, and on their uniform schedule, this will be the fourth time that they wear white jerseys.
“Our new uniforms – the Mile High Collection – boldly integrate elements of our past, present, and future while paying tribute to Colorado and the Rocky Mountain Region we proudly call home,” Broncos president Damani Leech said.
What makes these uniforms different from their normal white uniforms is the use of white socks as opposed to navy socks. They also have special “Summit White” helmets, which they also wore for their Monday Night Football matchup with the Browns.
Players seem most excited about the white helmets.
“These hard,” running back Javonte Williams enthusiastically proclaimed. “I like the white helmets and the blue jerseys.”

Added safety P.J. Locke: “I love ’em, honestly. I can’t wait ’til after the season to go hang that up on my wall. … Man, they look icy.”
“Oh, they’re sweet,” tight end Adam Trautman said of the white helmets.
But don’t worry, it wasn’t just the players appreciating the new look. When announced today that the “Summit White” uniforms were being worn, fans obviously had to chime in.
“Extremely hard unis,” posted one fan.

Others called the combination a missed opportunity for one simple reason: the orange pants are M.I.A.
“Orange pants would’ve given us the best uniform matchup possible, but oh well,” said one fan.
“We were so close to greatness, free the orange pants,” added another.
The Broncos have shown that they are forward-thinking when it comes to trying new things with their uniforms.
The Chargers will counter with their powder blue uniforms, which they will be wearing for the fourth time in their history against Denver. They have adapted these as a true part-time jersey option, as this is their eighth and final time wearing them this year.
