Hunter’s NFL Prospects: Who Is Likely To Draft the 2024 Heisman Winner?
Hunter should seamlessly fit with any NFL team. The Buffaloes star will declare for the 2025 NFL Draft after playing Colorado’s game against the BYU Cougars in the Alamo Bowl on Dec. 28.
There’s a strong chance that he’ll be selected within the top three picks and not likely to fall out of the top five.
The current NFL Draft order is as follows:
1) New York Giants 2-12
2) Las Vegas Raiders 2-11
3) New England Patriots 3-11
4) Jacksonville Jaguars 3-11
5) Carolina Panthers 3-11
The Giants are in dire need of a top-notch quarterback, so they would likely take someone like Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders or Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward over Hunter. The Raiders are in a similar situation and could likely choose whoever the Giants pass up on at quarterback under these current standings.
Thus, the Patriots and Jaguars would have the next option to draft Hunter. Both those teams have their quarterbacks set for the time being and could use a weapon like Hunter on offense (or defense).
