Alvin Kamara Injury Update: Examining the Latest on the Saints RB After He Left Week 15 vs. Commanders

Saints running back Alvin Kamara exited the team's Week 15 contest against the Commanders with an apparent injury. Here's the latest on the star RB.

New Orleans Saints running back Alvin Kamara exited the team’s Week 15 contest against the Washington Commanders with an injury. Here’s the latest on the Saints star running back.

    What Happened to Alvin Kamara?

Early in the fourth quarter, Kamara went to the medical tent. Then, shortly after, he walked back to the locker room while talking with a medical staffer.

Initially, it was unclear what happened to Kamara. However, the Saints revealed that he suffered a groin injury.

Kamara has been designated as questionable to return, and it remains to be seen if he will re-enter the game.

At the time he exited the game, Kamara had five carries for 12 years while adding four receptions for 58 yards and a touchdown.

How Will Kamara’s Injury Impact the Saints and Fantasy Managers?

Recently returned from IR, Kendre Miller has been operating as the RB2 ahead of Jamaal Williams. If Kamara has to miss any time, it’s hard to imagine Miller not getting an extended look as the starter.

With Kamara pushing 30 years old, it would behoove the Saints to see what Miller can do. The issue with Miller has mostly been health.

If he can stay healthy, he would be a low-upside RB3, as the Saints’ QB situation with Spencer Rattler or Jake Haener is arguably the worst in the league.
