Leading up to Taylor Swift’s 35th birthday on Friday, there were reports that Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce was determined to make it “extra special,” even though the Chiefs had a road game against the Cleveland Browns two days later. Well, now we know what Kelce did to celebrate his girlfriend’s big day, and he did not disappoint.
Travis Kelce Spoils Taylor Swift With $175,000 in Luxury Gifts, 35 Bouquets
Kelce bought 35 bouquets of roses for Swift to celebrate her 35th birthday, spending $19,325 on the flowers from the luxury company The Million Roses, according to The U.S. Sun.
But his big surprise didn’t end there.
Kelce also bought the pop superstar $155,200 in jewelry, including a Day-Date 36 Rolex ($60,350), an Alhambra necklace ($35,000), a customized golf split cuff from Tiffany & Co. with a heart engraved inside ($22,000), an Elsa Peretti open-heart bracelet ($25,000), a vintage Alhambra pendant ($8,200), and a pair of Alhambra earrings ($4,1500).
“Thirty-five years old is a very important birthday, and he wanted to make things really special for this special occasion,” a source close to the couple told the outlet. “Many luxury items, and the bouquets, one for each year.
“He has been working on this for a bit now, and he knows that the occasion was super important as now they are able to spend way more time together as the tour is over.
“The last few months have been very intense for the both of them, and now they just want to enjoy each other, and Taylor’s birthday is the first day of many more days and times for celebrations in the next couple of weeks.”
Kelce was born on Oct. 5, 1989, in Westlake, Ohio, meaning he is 35 years old. Swift was born on Dec. 13, 1989, in West Reading, Pa., meaning she just turned 35 years old. The age gap between Travis and Taylor is just 69 days.
This echoes what Page Six reported prior to the birthday celebration: Kelce had “been shopping for Christmas and birthday gifts for Taylor for quite a while now,” including certain items “Taylor has casually mentioned she would like.”
So, what does Kelce have in store for Christmas?
“Travis and Taylor love birthdays. They also love Christmas, and they are so looking forward to that,” the source told The U.S. Sun. “Travis kept some more unique presents in his sleeve for Christmas time; he loves to surprise Taylor and get her some very nice gifts.”
Kelce Raves About Swift and the ‘Eras Tour’
On this week’s episode of “New Heights,” Kelce raved about Swift and her recently concluded “Eras Tour.”
“Shout out to Tay, the unbelievable ‘Eras Tour’ has officially come to an end. It was almost two years…” Kelce said. “It’s insane. Absolutely insane. Over 10 million people in the stands over the course of it, cumulatively.
“Shout out to everyone that was a part of that show. Obviously, it’s her music and her tour and everything, but that was a full production, man. It was the best tour in the world because of a lot of people, but mostly because of Taylor.”
The 149-show “Eras Tour” became the highest-grossing tour of all time, earning over $1 billion in revenue.
It also produced an extremely successful film (“Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour”), which brought in over $261.6 million globally, breaking the record for a concert film that was previously held by Michael Jackson’s “This Is It.”
The documentary also earned a nomination for the Golden Globes’ new Cinematic and Box Office Achievement prize.
Due in part to the success of the “Eras Tour,” Swift is now a billionaire. Her net worth has skyrocketed in recent years, from $550 million in 2020 to $740 million at the start of 2023 to $1.6 billion as 2024 comes to an end.
Kelce attended a number of Swift’s performances in the United States and abroad, even appearing on stage in London. During the song “I Can Do It With a Broken Heart,” Kelce appeared in a suit and top hat, carrying Swift across the stage.
After the performance, Kelce shared what was on his mind the entire time he was on stage.
“The one thing I told myself is do not drop the baby,” Kelce said. “Do not drop Taylor on your way over to this damn couch. I was gonna do some, like, some extra stuff… But the golden rule was do not drop Taylor. Get her to the couch safe, hold onto the baby… Coach (Eric) Bieniemy always used to say that ball has our dreams, goals, and aspirations. You do not drop that ball.
“Shout out to Tay for letting me jump on the stage with her. Who knows? Might not be the last time.”
