Sanders had been vocal about Hunter winning the Heisman Trophy leading up to the ceremony. On Saturday, the dual-threat star did exactly that, becoming Colorado’s second-ever Heisman honoree after Rashaan Salaam in 1994.

Sanders is known for his “watch flex,” often flashing his $70,000 customized stainless steel wristwatch after making big plays for the Buffs. According to USA Today, this was his signature move as he raised his arm to show it off.

As for the Heisman ceremony, the NFL-bound QB wore a $300,000 AP Royal Oak Skeleton.

Dressed in a chic black suit, Sanders also shared a long hug with Hunter after his name was called as the winner. The two have built a brotherhood in their time together, and Sanders dressed to the nines to celebrate his teammate’s achievement.

After the win, Sanders congratulated Hunter on X:

“Proud of ya bro love ya @TravisHunterJr”

The final game of this year’s Colorado team is on Dec. 28 in the Alamo Bowl, which in all likelihood will be the players’ last game together.

In Pro Football Network’s latest mock draft, Sanders goes off the board at No. 1 overall to the Las Vegas Raiders. According to Pro Football Network, Sanders will be the No. 1 pick off the board.

“Shedeur Sanders possesses the NFL-ready traits that position him as the top quarterback in the 2025 NFL Draft class. With excellent processing skills, football intelligence, and impressive pocket navigation, the 6’2”, 215-pound quarterback has a clear path to becoming a starter.

“The standout passer has a natural ability to recognize pressure, and his remarkable accuracy, combined with above-average arm strength, makes him a contender for the first overall pick come April.”

Meanwhile, Hunter falls to the Jacksonville Jaguars at No. 5 overall.

“The Heisman Trophy winner grades out best as a corner and would fill a glaring hole on the Jaguars roster. With four interceptions and 11 pass deflections in 2024, 1,152 receiving yards, and 14 touchdowns, the athletic marvel is almost guaranteed to be a top-five pick.”

Hunter won the Heisman Trophy with 552 first-place votes, totaling 2,231 points. Behind him was Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty, who received 309 first-place votes and 2,017 total points.
