After an up-and-down season that has featured a pair of quarterback changes, the Indianapolis Colts are 6-7 entering Week 15 of the 2024 NFL season. Despite that rollercoaster ride, the Colts still have a chance to make the playoffs and even win the AFC South. Let’s examine the various playoff scenarios for Anthony Richardson and Co.

The Colts fumbled (hello, Jonathan Taylor) a massive opportunity to cement themselves into the AFC Wild Card race. Instead, they are now in danger of missing the playoffs completely after losing to the Broncos in Week 15.
The PFN Playoff Predictor gives them just a 28.1% chance to make the playoffs. Entering Week 15, their chances were at about 35%.
At 6-8, it’s not going to be an easy path for Indianapolis. The Broncos are 9-5 and would need to lose their remaining three games while the Colts would need to win out — and that’s not even getting into tiebreakers.
The Chargers, who are the seventh seed, are 8-6 and have a pretty favorable schedule after facing the Broncos in Week 16 with the Patriots in Week 17 and Raiders in Week 18. So, even if the Chargers lose next week, they will still be favored in their last two matchups.
Meanwhile, the Colts really cannot afford to lose another game. Fortunately, they have the Titans in Week 16, Giants in Week 17, and Jaguars in Week 18. It’s a real possibility they will run the table, which makes the loss in Week 15 hurt even more.
While anything can happen, the door is closing fast on the Colts’ playoff chances for the 2024 season.
