When you think of Bill Belichick’s all-time favorite player, your mind probably jumps straight to you-know-who — the GOAT, Tom Brady, right? But nope. Patriots legends have spilled the tea, and the answer is more unexpected than a trick play on fourth down.
Turns out, Belichick’s heart belongs to someone else, a choice so surprising it’ll make you do a double-take faster than Harry Potter spotting a Quidditch snitch mid-game.
FoxBros Battle: Who’s Bill Belichick’s Favorite Patriot?
During a special FoxBros segment on “NFL on FOX,” Brady, Rob Gronkowski, and Julian Edelman finally tackled this burning question: Who is Belichick’s favorite player of the trio?
The segment featured a fun game where each player chose one placard with their name, aiming to match Belichick’s hidden loyalty. First up — determining which player Belichick supposedly loves the most.
Gronkowski confidently pointed at Edelman, saying, “It’s Julian. Loves him.” Brady chimed in with a nostalgic nod, “Always did.” But Edelman, ever the scrappy underdog, laughed off the suggestion with classic grit, “Oh, get outta here. I’m not sensitive. I’m just not sensitive.”

It’s the kind of banter that sums up the Patriots’ dynasty vibe — brash, loyal, and unexpectedly hilarious.
While Brady, Gronk, and Edelman shared countless championship memories, this silly but telling game highlighted something deeper — their enduring bond with Belichick and the intricate dynamics that made the Patriots’ dynasty so memorable.
Belichick’s favorite may not be TB12 after all, but it’s a testament to how the Patriots’ iconic trio remains a force to be reckoned with — on-field, in friendships, and in unforgettable locker room banter.
Belichick Eyes UNC Coaching Role, Following Deion Sanders’ College Success
Belichick could swap the NFL sidelines for college turf.
A report from “Inside Carolina” claims the six-time Super Bowl coach interviewed for the head coaching job at UNC following Mack Brown’s departure on Nov. 26. After parting ways with the Patriots earlier this year, Belichick’s coaching future remains open — and UNC might be the perfect fit.
Analyst Jason Whitlock sees an intriguing possibility. He pointed to Deion Sanders’ success with the Colorado Buffaloes as a blueprint for Belichick. “Sanders attracts players without heavy recruiting,” Whitlock said. “He lets the track record speak for itself and says, I know what it takes to make it in the NFL.”

With UNC reportedly able to offer $10-12 million annually, a salary Belichick could find appealing, the opportunity seems tempting. Belichick, known for his tactical genius but no-nonsense personality, could bring NFL experience to the college ranks.
Whether it’s chasing titles at the college or NFL level, Belichick’s next move would be a game-changer. If UNC lands him, it’d mark a new chapter for a coach whose NFL dominance could now shape college football instead.
