It’s never a dull day for AFC North drama. This time, the limelight isn’t just on-field but also in the stands — and not in a good way. A Pro Bowl player’s wife from the Cleveland Browns decided to air her thoughts on Steelers Nation, calling out their behavior as downright “embarrassing.”
What triggered this social media showdown? Allegedly, some Pittsburgh Steelers fans were taking trash talk to a whole new level. While rivalries are what make football spicy, this one’s definitely stirring the pot off the field.
Browns’ Wyatt Teller’s Wife Carly Teller Slams Steelers Fans
Carly Teller, wife of Browns Pro Bowl guard Wyatt Teller, took to social media to slam Steelers fans after Sunday’s showdown at Acrisure Stadium.
“The fans in Pittsburgh today were so blatantly disrespectful to me and the Browns girls,” Carly posted on X (formerly known as Twitter). “I’ve never felt so attacked by people who I literally did nothing to. Very sad/embarrassing behavior.”

While the Steelers pulled off a 27-14 win (and got sweet revenge for their Nov. 21 loss), the action in the stands grabbed just as much attention as the game. According to Teller, the treatment from some fans crossed the line, leaving her and others feeling attacked for simply showing support for the Browns.
This rivalry has never been shy of fireworks, but this time it wasn’t just Greg Newsome II and George Pickens (who exchanged plenty of trash talk in the two teams’ first matchup, with Pickens ultimately inactive for the redux) drawing headlines. Teller’s post sparked widespread support, with fans and NFL watchers alike condemning the behavior directed at players’ families.
While rivalry games always bring extra tension (especially in the AFC North), targeting family members is a line fans shouldn’t cross. Rivalries belong on the field, not in personal spaces. For Teller and others, this incident wasn’t just bad sportsmanship but an unwelcome distraction from the game they came to enjoy.
Browns Kicking Struggles Against the Steelers
The Browns’ kicking game in Week 14 … let’s just say it’s not winning any MVP awards. Dustin Hopkins missed not one but two momentum-shifting field goals (38 and 43 yards). Those misses had Browns fans groaning louder than the Dawg Pound after a bad ref call. Hopkins, however, isn’t sweating it — at least outwardly.
“I still feel really good mentally, which might not make sense to some people out there. But I feel good. I’m not panicked. I just need to find a good swing,” he shared after the game.
But with a 16-of-25 (64%) conversion rate this season, the Browns might be panicking for him.
The real kicker, though? Hopkins isn’t just any kicker. He’s one of the NFL’s highest-paid, courtesy of a three-year extension the Browns handed him this offseason. Cutting him now would leave the Browns eating dead cap money they might not be able to afford ($5.67 million in 2025 if Hopkins were to be a pre-June 1 cut) — not exactly ideal with playoff hopes still on the line.
Up next, the Browns face Patrick Mahomes and the Kansas City Chiefs, and they’ll need every point they can muster. Time for Hopkins to find that “good swing” fast.
