Earlier this week, Boise State Broncos star running back Ashton Jeanty revealed that he brought his entire offensive line out for a dinner, paid for by himself, to thank them for their role in his noteworthy season.
In a press conference, Jeanty outlined how his offensive line played just as large a role in his success and how grateful he was for their services. However, he wasn’t very appreciative of how much the check came out to be at the end of dinner.
This year, Jeanty has been instrumental in the Broncos’ dominant campaign in the Mountain West conference. At 12-1, the Broncos finished the regular season first in the conference and went an impressive 7-0 against fellow Mountain West opponents.
What Did Ashton Jeanty Say About His Offensive Line?
In the previously mentioned press conference, Jeanty detailed how his remarkable campaign would not have been possible without his teammates’ help.
“You don’t get 2,000 yards rushing by yourself. They did a great job all year blocking for me and opening up holes,” Jeanty explained.
Despite his appreciation, Jeanty continued by outlining how he was not as thankful for the amount he needed to pay at the conclusion of the aforementioned dinner.
“I really appreciate them. I didn’t appreciate how much the bill was, but it was a good time,” he jokingly stated.

Jeanty’s 2025 NFL Draft Projection
In Pro Football Network’s recent 2025 NFL Mock Draft completed by Jacob Infante, Jeanty was selected No. 13 overall by the Dallas Cowboys. In many respects, the Cowboys drafting Jeanty makes a lot of sense from both a player and team perspective.
As Infante notes, “It seems a little too easy pairing the blue-chip running back prospect with the big-market team that desperately needs a running back, but that’s what you have with the Dallas Cowboys as a landing spot for Ashton Jeanty in the 2025 NFL Draft.
“From his ball-carrier vision to his contact balance, his agility in space to his passing-down value, Jeanty is really the total package at running back. He’s a top-15 player in this draft class; it’s just a matter of whether or not a team will put the trigger earlier than this on a player who plays this position.”
While it remains to be definitively seen where Jeanty will be drafted next season, it’s evident that he has the ability to make an immediate impact at the NFL level and is grateful for his offensive line’s role in his elite statistical campaign.
