‘This Is Concerning’ — Malik Nabers’ Viral Post-Game Alarms Giants Fans

    Published on

The New York Giants' fans are in disbelief as rookie wide receiver Malik Nabers' comments go viral after their Thanksgiving loss to the Cowboys.

Malik Nabers couldn’t guide the New York Giants to a victory for the Thanksgiving game. This marks the Giants’ seventh consecutive loss despite the changes under center.

However, the rookie’s words after the loss are making the rounds. Several fans have pointed out that this attitude from the wide receiver could be the reason behind the Giants’ dysfunction this season.

Mailk Nabers’ Comments Don’t Impress Giants Fans After the Loss

The Giants lost against the Dallas Cowboys 27-20. Nabers ended the game being targeted by Drew Lock 13 times, and he caught eight of those for 69 yards. The rookie has registered seven drops this season with an 8.5% drop rate, according to Pro Football Focus.

“I don’t care about drops,” Nabers said after the game. “I mean, it’s just part of football. I don’t care if I drop the ball six times. Keep throwing me the ball.”

His comments went viral on X (formerly Twitter) after being posted by NFL reporter Jordan Raanan. The fans did not take kindly to these words. “He better care about them drops next year,” replied one fan.

“OK this is concerning,” tweeted one fan.

“Yeah. He needs to catch the ball… That’s a recipe for losing,” added a fan.

“Nah, that doesn’t fly here. Try again,” another fan responded.

“‘If I suck at my job I don’t care keep giving me opportunities.’ Sounds unprofessional, even childlike,” added another fan.

“You’re a wide RECEIVER,” one fan tweeted.

Nabers Stands by His Controversial Words From Last Week

After New York’s Week 12 loss against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, the WR threw the entire Giants setup under the bus. The WR targeted everyone from the QB to the head coach. Speaking to the media earlier this week, he still has the same sentiment.

“If I had an opportunity to go back and change the words that I said, I would,” Nabers said on the Tuesday leading into Week 13. “But I still stand on what I said. I said it. I don’t have no regrets with what I said. But, after looking at the film, we just lacked technique.”

The Giants will be back at home for their Week 14 game. They’ll face off against the New Orleans Saints on Sunday afternoon at MetLife Stadium.
