Well, it was a rough night for the Miami Dolphins in Green Bay. Before the matchup even started, Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa was catching strays like Green Bay receivers were catching touchdowns. Popular rapper Lil Wayne threw a slight jab that had fans buzzing — and it wasn’t on the mic. Right before the Packers’ 30-17 win, Weezy couldn’t resist roasting Tua. It wasn’t loud or obvious — but in the world of celebrity and sports, those little digs can spark major buzz.
While the Packers were busy pulling off a victory, Wayne’s words had people questioning whether Tagovailoa’s on-field focus had just hit a new level of drama. Get ready, this one’s got layers!
Lil Wayne Throws Shade at Tua Tagovailoa
Wayne’s Thanksgiving tweet wasn’t about stuffing or mashed potatoes — it was about serving up some hot, spicy shade to Tagovailoa. Just before the Packers’ beatdown of the Dolphins, Wayne dropped a line that had everyone on NFL Twitter scrambling: “What’s a QB with no arm?! A Tua?” Cue the mic drop.
Wayne, in classic style, was riding high on the Packers’ chilly vibes in Lambeau, as he hyped up the frozen tundra with some serious cheesehead energy: “Frozen cheese, call it ‘freeze’” and “don’t move, it’s an arm robbery!” As the Packers’ game-time temp was dipping into the 20s, Wayne was out here freezing Tagovailoa’s arm in the process. He threw in a quick shoutout to Packers QB Jordan Love and Josh Jacobs, but it was clear — Tagovailoa was the target.
GO PACK GO!!!!
Happy Thanksgiving & all dat! We eating seafood in Lambeau tn!!!! Frozen Tundra with Jordan Cold Hearted Love! And Josh Icebreaker Jacobs! Brrr. Frozen cheese call it “freeze” don’t move it’s an arm robbery and what’s a QB with no arm?! A Tua? 🤷🏽♂️

The Packers iced the Dolphins, cruising to a 9-3 record and their third straight win. Now, with the NFC North up for grabs, they’re gearing up for an epic showdown against the 11-1 Lions. According to Pro Football Network’s NFL Playoff Predictor, the Packers now have a 97% chance of making the playoffs, but only a 13.8% chance of winning the North. The numbers make sense considering their division is literally the toughest in football thanks to the Lions and Vikings.
The Dolphins, on the other hand, saw their playoff chances drop by more than 10%, and the predictor now gives them a less than 25% chance of making the postseason. At 5-7 overall, the AFC East is out of the question. In fact, if the Buffalo Bills get a win this Sunday, they will officially lock up the division. So, if Miami has any shot, it would have to be a Wild Card spot.
But, was the shot at Tua warranted? Yes, it is fair to say that Tua has struggled in the cold during his career, his record reflects that. But tonight, he was far from the problem. The Dolphins simply looked unprepared for their opponent. According to PFN’s proprietary Quarterback+ metric, the Dolphins’ signal-caller finished the game with a C+ grade. Of the eight games he has played, it was his fifth-best performance.
Again, the score might seem lopsided but Tua is hardly at fault. Special team mistakes, an exorbitant amount of missed tackles, and questionable play calls all played into the team’s Thanksgiving loss.
The cold wasn’t the problem and the QB wasn’t the problem. They lost to a better team, one that was better prepared and one that played harder. Same thing would’ve happened in 65 degree weather.
While it wasn’t Tua’s best game, he didn’t drop a punt, fail to block, have…

At the end of the day, the Packers were just the better team. Wayne’s jab might’ve been playful, but the Packers’ performance was all business. And with the Lions up next, things are about to get even colder.
