    What Happened to Keenan Allen?

UPDATE: Allen returned to the game on the Bears’ next drive.

ORIGINAL: The Bears receiver was hurt blocking on a D’Andre Swift run with 12:10 remaining in the fourth quarter. He was helped off the field by trainers and didn’t appear to be putting weight on his right leg.

Allen subsequently entered the blue medical tent for further examination, and his status will be updated at a later point.

Allen was having his best game of the season, recording three catches for 58 yards and two touchdowns at the time of his injury. He accounted for each of Chicago’s touchdowns before exiting.

Fantasy Impact If Allen is Out

Allen did absolutely nothing in the first half, but he was on fire in the second, catching both of Caleb Williams’ touchdown passes. He’s really emerged as a bigger piece of this passing attack since the Bears moved on from Shane Waldron, catching three touchdowns in his last two games after recording two over his first eight games combined.

The Bears’ base two-receiver set involves DJ Moore and Allen. If Allen has to miss any time, Rome Odunze would step into the WR2 role, and we could see a couple more targets heading in the direction of Cole Kmet.
