The Dallas Cowboys will face the New York Giants at 4:30 p.m. ET on Thanksgiving Day. With all eyes on America’s Team, the Cowboys decided to wear some special uniforms for today’s holiday game. Let’s break down Dallas’ throwback uniforms.
Cowboys Wearing 1960s Throwbacks Against Giants
For the third straight Thanksgiving, the Cowboys will wear their 1960s throwback uniforms.
The throwback uniforms feature white helmets, blue jerseys with stars on the shoulders, and white pants.

According to SportsLogos.net, the Cowboys originally wore their 1960s throwback uniforms every Thanksgiving from 2004 to 2013, but then the NFL implemented its one-helmet rule and Dallas had to stop donning them.
With the NFL tweaking that rule in recent years, Dallas was able to bring back the throwback unis in 2022, and they have worn them on Thanksgiving ever since.
The Cowboys aren’t the only team wearing an alternate uniform today, as the Detroit Lions will wear their Honolulu blue home jerseys and Honolulu blue pants against the Chicago Bears, while the Miami Dolphins will rock their 1966 throwback uniforms tonight against the Green Bay Packers.

It might be a good time to bank some brownie points with your family and step away from football for a few hours during the Cowboys-Giants matchup.
This is set to be a matchup between Drew Lock and Cooper Rush, which is hardly the headline matchup the NFL would have hoped for.
The Cowboys already have a Thursday win under their belt this season. Can you name the only team in the NFL currently with two Thursday night wins this season? (The New York Jets!)
Last week, Rush completed 12-of-14 passes on first down against the Commanders and 12-of-18 passes otherwise. The Cowboys have scored on under one-third of their drives in three straight games (Weeks 1-9: one such game). Defensively, Dallas has allowed 3+ offensive touchdowns in six straight games.
Meanwhile, the Giants averaged under a point per drive last week in Tommy DeVito’s season debut, something they did three times this season under Daniel Jones. DeVito threw 31 passes against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and totaled exactly one completion of 15+ air yards. DeVito is expected to miss this game due to a right forearm injury, but will the Giants be that much better with Lock under center?
The Giants have had at least as many turnovers as offensive touchdowns five times this season (Weeks 1-4-6-8-12). New York has allowed opponents to pick up at least 40% of third downs in four straight games (after having one such game last season).
Prediction: Cowboys 21, Giants 17
