Chiefs Owner Clark Hunt’s Wife Tavia Doubles Down on Andy Reid’s Message After Kansas City’s Week 12 Scare

    Published on

Chiefs owner Clark Hunt's wife Tavia appreciated head coach Andy Reid's strong message following a close win vs. the Carolina Panthers.

The Andy Reid-led Kansas City Chiefs bagged another close yet thrilling win over the Carolina Panthers in their Week 12 showdown, 30-27. The Chiefs now have a 10-1 record, which brings them one step closer to their third consecutive Super Bowl title.

While the Chiefs were able to pull through, their game wasn’t at its best. The defense showed a few flaws, and the rare Patrick Mahomes-Travis Kelce misunderstanding occurred.

The game was far from perfect. However, that didn’t stop head coach Andy Reid from cheering the team up after the close win, which owner Clark Hunt’s wife, Tavia, also echoed.

Tavia Hunt Agrees With Andy Reid’s Pep Talk to the Chiefs

Following the Chiefs’ win against the Panthers, coach Reid gathered his players for a much-needed pep talk. He discussed the importance of winning while also emphasizing a few areas they need to work on.

During the postgame speech, Reid said, “Alright, so look, I don’t want to see anybody hanging their head. This league is crazy. That’s the way this thing goes. You saw yesterday with college football. Nothing, nothing’s given to you. And you’re getting, you’re getting their best shot.

“So you keep your heads up, man. And we get this thing rolling. We got some things we got to clean up, but we keep it rolling here. That’s the important part, winning is an important part right here. You guys bore down and got it done. Alright, let’s give it one, Chiefs!”

Appreciating coach Reid’s efforts, owner Clark Hunt’s wife, Tavia Hunt, said, “I just love this message.” She reposted the clip on her story.

While the game wasn’t up to the Chiefs’ standards, quarterback Patrick Mahomes expressed the importance of challenges in a postgame interview: “You always want to have some blowouts and be a little calmer in the fourth quarter, but it could be a good thing when you get to the playoffs later in the season, knowing that you’ve been in those moments before and knowing how to attack it play by play.”

The Week 12 win comes a week after the Buffalo Bills interrupted the team’s winning streak. However, with a few changes and strategic moves, the team’s three-peat chances are very well secure.
