College football and NFL fans alike were presented with a different — and extremely positive — version of Travis Hunter yesterday. After the Colorado Buffaloes’ difficult 37-21 loss to the Kansas Jayhawks, Hunter could be seen signing numerous autographs and jerseys for some of his young fans.
Taking place at GEHA Field at Arrowhead Stadium, home of the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs, football fans were eager to see how Hunter would perform on such a large stage and in a stadium known for its hostility toward opponents. While the Buffaloes did not get the win, Hunter had another great game and made the day of many young supporters after the match.
Social Media Reaction to Hunter Signing Autographs and Jerseys
Shortly after the game concluded, videos began circulating of the Heisman Trophy favorite signing numerous autographs and jerseys. In response to this video, people began detailing their opinion of Hunter’s role in making the day of so many young fans.
One social media user detailed how Hunter was a “Class act. 👍”

Travis Hunter’s On-the-Field and Off-the-Field Performance Yesterday
From a pure football perspective for the Buffaloes, yesterday’s loss to the Jayhawks was a costly defeat for the Deion Sanders-led football program. Dropping to fourth position in the Big 12, the road to the championship game becomes much more difficult for Hunter and the Buffaloes.
The loss and subsequent wins by Arizona State and Iowa State saw the previously second-place team drop down the standings after play concluded yesterday.
While the Buffaloes did not get the job done at Arrowhead Stadium, Hunter had another Heisman Trophy-worthy performance yesterday. Hunter caught eight receptions on the day, tallying 125 yards and scoring two touchdowns. This performance brought Hunter’s season totals to 82 catches for 1,036 yards and 11 touchdowns in what has been an amazing season both on and off the field for the young phenom.
As is clear, many people around college football and the NFL believe Hunter was a class act for signing numerous autographs and jerseys, despite the difficult and potentially season-ending loss yesterday.
