Dallas Cowboys at Washington Commanders Inactives

Note that the full inactive list is released by teams 90 minutes before kickoff. This list will be updated at that time.

Dallas Cowboys Week 12 Injury Report

    DaRon Bland, CB

Bland (foot) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Commanders. He practiced in full all week and is now in line to make his 2024 debut Sunday after missing Dallas’ first 10 games this season due to a foot injury sustained in late August.

The third-year corner from Fresno State earned first-team All-Pro honors in 2023, recording 69 total tackles and 15 passes defended, including nine interceptions (and five pick-sixes) across 17 regular-season games. If Trevon Diggs (groin/knee) is able to suit up in Week 12, the Cowboys will have their top outside cornerback duo for the first time this season.

    Brandin Cooks, WR

The Dallas Cowboys opened WR Brandin Cooks’ IR-return window on Wednesday. Cooks has not played since September while battling a knee injury.

The 31-year-old was limited for every practice this week as he looks to return from a knee injury. He’s officially listed as questionable for Week 12.

“My mindset is to go out there as if I ain’t lose a step,” Cooks said, per ESPN’s Todd Archer. “I’ve been putting in the work with the training staff, the strength coaches. That’s my mindset going into it. Let’s go.”

Cooks posted nine catches for 91 yards and a touchdown in four games before going down. While he could overtake Jalen Tolbert to become Dallas’ WR2 down the stretch, there’s not much fantasy appeal in a Cowboys offense helmed by Cooper Rush or Trey Lance.

    Trevon Diggs, CB

Diggs (groin/knee) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Commanders. He popped up on the Cowboys’ injury report Thursday with groin and knee issues, logging two consecutive limited sessions to end Dallas’ week of practice.

If he’s able to suit up in Week 12, he’ll start opposite DaRon Bland for the first time in 2024. However, if Diggs is sidelined Sunday for the first time this season, Caelen Carson will likely start in his place opposite Bland.

    Jake Ferguson, TE

Jake Ferguson did not practice this week after suffering a concussion in the Cowboys’ Week 11 loss to the Texans. He was officially ruled out for Week 12 on Friday.

Ferguson will need to exit the NFL’s concussion protocol before he can suit up again. Most players need at least one week of recovery before playing after suffering a brain injury.

Luke Schoonmaker hauled in six catches on 10 targets for 56 yards in Ferguson’s absence, finishing as the TE10 in Week 11. You could do worse as a replacement option than Schoonmaker with Ferguson sidelined in Week 12.

    Marshawn Kneeland, DE

Kneeland (knee) is officially questionable for Sunday’s matchup versus Washington. He underwent knee surgery in early October and has been on injured reserve since. He was designated to return Wednesday and logged a trio of limited practices this week.

Kneeland is still on IR, so he would need to be activated in order to play Sunday against the Commanders.

    CeeDee Lamb, WR

CeeDee Lamb (back/foot) was limited for Wednesday’s practice but downgraded to a DNP on Thursday.

Fortunately, Dallas’ star wideout returned to a full practice on Friday and doesn’t have an injury designation for Week 12. Lamb is ready to go for Sunday’s game.

The Cowboys added Lamb to their practice report last Saturday, listing him as questionable for MNF due to his back injury. He ultimately played against the Texans on Monday but must have picked up a new foot injury.

Week 11 was a positive development for Lamb in that Rush passed for 354 yards. He won’t do that every week, but Rush has established a ceiling that helped Lamb go 8-93-0 and rank as the WR14 in fantasy last week.

    Jourdan Lewis, CB

Lewis (neck) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Commanders. He opened the Cowboys’ week of practice with consecutive limited sessions due to a neck injury, but he upgraded to full participation Friday, suggesting that he’s moved past the issue in time for Sunday’s divisional matchup. With Lewis back at full health, he’s expected to serve as Dallas’ top slot corner in Week 12.

    Hunter Luepke, FB

Luepke (calf) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Commanders. He appeared to be in jeopardy of the missing the Week 12 divisional matchup after opening the Cowboys’ week of practice with an estimated DNP.

However, he practiced in a limited capacity Thursday before logging a full session Friday, indicating that he’s recovered from his calf injury. Expect the second-year pro from North Dakota State to serve as Dallas’ top fullback Sunday.

    Final Cowboys Injury Report

Marquese Bell, S (Shoulder) – Out; DaRon Bland, CB (Foot) – playing; Brandin Cooks, WR (Knee) – Questionable; Chuma Edoga, G (Toe) – Questionable; Jake Ferguson, TE (Concussion) – Out; Trevon Diggs, CB (Groin) – Questionable; Tyler Guyton, T (Shoulder) – playing; Eric Kendricks, LB (Shoulder) – playing; Marshawn Kneeland, DE (Knee) – Questionable; CeeDee Lamb, WR (Back/Foot) – playing; Jourdan Lewis, CB (Neck) – playing; Hunter Luepke, RB (Calf) – playing; Zack Martin, G (Ankle/Shoulder) – Doubtful; Tyler Smith, OL (Ankle/Knee) – Questionable; Nick Vigil, ILB (Foot) – Questionable

Washington Commanders Week 12 Injury Report

    Noah Igbinoghene, CB

Igbinoghene (thumb) has no injury designation ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Cowboys.

Igbinoghene practiced in full Friday after beginning the Commanders’ week of practice with back-to-back limited sessions, suggesting that he’s moved past his thumb injury in time for Sunday’s divisional matchup.

Now that the 2020 first-round pick has returned to full health, he’s expected to serve as one of Washington’s top rotational cornerbacks in Week 12.

    Marshon Lattimore, CB

The Commanders ruled out Lattimore (hamstring) for Sunday’s game against the Cowboys.

Lattimore has yet to practice with Washington since he was acquired from the Saints at the trade deadline 17 days ago. His next chance to suit up for his new team will be in Week 13 against the Titans.

    Austin Seibert, K

Week 12 Status: Seibert was removed from the injury report on Saturday and will be playing on Sunday.

Seibert (right hip) is listed as questionable for Sunday’s contest against the Cowboys.

Seibert has missed back-to-back games due to a right hip injury, but after opening Week 12 prep with a pair of limited practices, he got back to full participation Friday, indicating a return to action is on the horizon.

Coach Dan Quinn intimated as much Friday, telling Ben Standig of The Athletic that Seibert is “trending” toward resuming kicking duties for the Commanders this weekend.

There’s a chance the team still elevates Zane Gonzalez from the practice squad on Saturday, but if that doesn’t happen, there’s little doubt Seibert will be active about 90 minutes before Sunday’s 1:00 p.m. ET kickoff.

    Final Commanders Injury Report
