Detroit Lions at Indianapolis Colts Inactives

Note that the full inactive list is released by teams 90 minutes before kickoff. This list will be updated at that time.

    Terrion Arnold, CB

Arnold (groin) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Colts. The 2024 first-round pick upgraded from limited work Thursday to a full practice session Friday, indicating that he’s trending toward playing in Sunday’s matchup.

However, if Arnold is forced to miss the Week 12 contest, expect Kindle Vildor and Khalil Dorsey to see increased snaps in the Lions’ secondary.

    Sam LaPorta, TE

Sam LaPorta is dealing with a sprained AC joint in his right shoulder but is nearing a return after missing Week 11. He fully practiced all week and is no longer listed on the Detroit Lions’ injury report.

Barring a setback, LaPorta will play against the Colts on Sunday.

LaPorta finished as fantasy’s TE1 in his 2023 rookie campaign but has struggled to contribute this season. However, his 3-66-1 line on SNF in Week 10 was one of his best performances of the season (TE4 on the week).

    Ifeatu Melifonwu, S

The Lions placed Melifonwu (undisclosed) on injured reserve Tuesday. Melifonwu was activated from injured reserve Monday but heads back to the list 24 hours later after suffering a setback unrelated to the ankle injury that previously landed him there.

Melifonwu will have to miss at least another four games minimum and won’t be eligible to play until Week 16 versus Chicago.

    Emmanuel Moseley, CB

Moseley (pectoral) is listed as questionable ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Colts. Despite a week of full practice sessions, the Tennessee product’s availability Sunday is still in question.

Moseley has yet to play this season after tearing his pec in early August and still must be activated to Detroit’s active roster in order to suit up in Week 12. If he can’t return, expect Amik Robertson to serve as the Lions’ top slot corner.

    Ennis Rakestraw, CB

Rakestraw (hamstring) has been ruled out ahead of Sunday’s matchup against the Colts. Rakestraw appears to have sustained a hamstring injury in practice this week, as he was a late addition to the Lions’ injury report and logged a DNP on Friday.

The issue is serious enough that he’s already been ruled out for Sunday’s matchup, paving the way for Kindle Vildor to see increased work as one of the Lions’ top backup corners.
