Two weeks remain until the completion of the regular season as the race for the biggest individual award in college football intensifies. Among the many contenders for the Heisman race are Colorado Buffaloes cornerback and wide receiver Travis Hunter, Boise State Broncos running back Ashton Jeanty, Oregon Ducks quarterback Dillon Gabriel, and Miami Hurricanes QB Cam Ward.
It’s only fair, with the race entering its final stages, that fans endorse their favorite players on the internet.
Fans of Travis Hunter and Ashton Jeanty Debate
Both Hunter and Jeanty are doing something unprecedented in their own right. A player like Hunter is difficult to capture in metrics, given his two-way play. On the other hand, Jeanty leads all of FBS in all-purpose yards (1,991), rushing touchdowns (26), total yards (1,893), total touchdowns (27), and total points (162).
Recently, a fan page endorsed Jeanty as more deserving than Hunter in a head-on stat showdown. The stat showed the Broncos running back leading FBS in rushing grade (95.9), yards after contact (1,370), and missed tackles forced on runs (105).
Meanwhile, on the other hand, the graphic showed Hunter being No. 7 in defensive grade (85.6, among all CBs), No. 9 in offensive grade (84.1, among all WRs), and No. 13 in combined touchdowns + interceptions (13).
Reacting to the post, one user said: “Lmao y’all trying to downplay somebody who never comes out of the game and is top 10 on offense and defense ? Yall a new breed 😂.”
I think both deserve it and everyone knows Jeanty is amazing. But let’s stop the Travis Hunter disrespect.

Many more gave their endorsement for Hunter: “Travis Hunter is the best player in college football. Period!” one fan added.
“I think this was supposed to be Ashton Jeanty propaganda but it honestly made me like Travis even more. Top 10 at two positions all game long. Even if PFF grades are bogus,” another added.
Jeanty also wasn’t short on support.
“Yards after contact is also PFF record. #HEIS2MAN,” one wrote.
Oddsmakers Currently Favor Travis Hunter Winning Heisman Over Ashton Jeanty
