Stroud is equally impressed, shouting, “Yes sir! Good ball, boy!” as Lewis confidently connects with his receiver.

The now-17-year-old Lewis, who committed to the Buffs on the Pat McAfee Show on Thursday (Nov. 21), now not only has the attention of some famous NFL players but the entire football world. Deion Sanders is already excited to coach the young QB, and in a recent interview, he weighed in on his commitment, stating:

“I can’t wait to be a part of his life and coach him.”

    Julian Lewis’ Epic Commitment Announcement

Lewis’ appearance on the Pat McAfee Show was unique, pulling out a grey cap with a Buffaloes logo to announce his commitment. Later on Thursday (Nov. 21), he also released a stunning trailer on X (formerly Twitter) featuring Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders. He captioned the tweet:

    “It’s definitely perfect timing! #Committed #SkoBuffs”

In the video, there were glimpses of his childhood wearing different football jerseys, showcasing his passion from a young age. However, what caught the eye was the ending, where Lewis is sitting on a throne and Shedeur hands him a key with “Legendary” written on it, while the voice-over says, “As Shedeur Sanders leaves to go to the next level, the next legend at Colorado arrives.”

In his three seasons at Carrollton, Lewis has racked up 10,054 yards, 136 touchdown passes, and just 18 interceptions in 39 games, with a pass completion percentage of 69%. Colorado has high hopes for this young quarterback to take the program to even greater heights.
