‘He Should Get Fined’ — Fans Call Out George Pickens as Steelers WR Tries To Fight Browns Player After Game-Winning Hail Mary Attempt

    Published on

Steelers wideout George Pickens was engaged in an altercation with a Browns player following his team's loss on Thursday Night Football.

George Pickens and the Pittsburgh Steelers lost 24-19 to the Cleveland Browns on Thursday Night Football. It was the Steelers’ first loss with Russell Wilson as the quarterback, and losing to the Browns after defeating the Baltimore Ravens is quite disappointing.

The Steelers had a chance to win the game through a Hail Mary attempt, but they were not able to convert. During and after the play, Pickens was seen engaged with a Browns player and even seemingly trying to fight him. His video went viral and sparked many reactions from fans.

Fans React to George Pickens’ Heated Moment Following Steelers’ Loss

Here’s how fans reacted on social media:

“He can’t act normal when his team isn’t winning,” said one fan.

Another fan added, “Dude is the NFL version of Ron Artest.”

“This dude has talent, but the mindset isn’t there,” wrote one fan.

“He needs to grow up,” said another fan.

Pickens didn’t have his best game, finishing with four receptions for 48 yards on seven targets. His frustration grew throughout the game, as the wide receiver might have felt that the Browns’ defensive players were able to get their hands on him without receiving any penalty.

He ultimately lashed out on the final play, and like every other week, we got another clip of Pickens where he was seen doing things that other players usually don’t. The 23-year-old wideout has immense talent and has showcased that throughout the season, but he can lose control in some moments. Due to these things, he has often been compared to Antonio Brown.

Whether or not Pickens will get fined remains to be seen, but the Steelers star made sure that people have something to look forward to when these teams face again in Week 14.

Steelers Have Another Big Game Next Week

Wilson didn’t disappoint in the loss to the Browns. He completed 21 of his 28 attempts for 270 yards and a touchdown, with a passer rating of 116.7. The quarterback did his part, but the defense let the Steelers down, and we don’t expect to see that often.

With this loss, the Steelers are now 8-3 on the season but still have a one-game lead over the Ravens in the AFC North. Pittsburgh has another road divisional matchup coming as it will face the Cincinnati Bengals next week.

The Bengals are 4-7 and have a bye in Week 12. They haven’t had enough success this year but will be well-prepared to take on the Steelers to keep their playoff hopes alive. Joe Burrow is 3-2 against Pittsburgh in his career, but unlike the previous matchups, he doesn’t have a good defense to support him and will have to play exceptionally well to get a result.

Scoring against a Steelers defense that will be motivated to bounce back from the disappointing performance against the Browns will be a challenging task for the Bengals. Hopefully, the fans will be treated with another hard-fought game between two AFC North rivals.
