    Coach Prime Discusses Julian Lewis

In an interview on Thursday (Nov. 21), Sanders reacted to Julian ‘Ju Ju’ Lewis committing to Colorado, praising the young talent. He is already looking forward to coaching Lewis, who is currently ranked the No. 2 quarterback in the ESPN 300.

Coach Prime stated, “It was a great thing for the program. We know it’s been in there working for quite some time. Great kid, great talent. I like the qualities and the home structure and all of that, and I can’t wait to be a part of his life and coaching.”

Coach Prime, in the interview, gave additional details on how he approached Lewis and what went into his recruiting process, saying, “You know, I get Ju Ju on the phone, get his pop on the phone. See if his dad wanted to come down and just sit and have a word with me.

“He sat at my office a few weeks ago for a couple of hours, and I said, ‘Give it out to me, I know you got a bunch of questions in your mind, let’s go.’ And we did, and he walked away feeling very comfortable about where we at.”

Once again, Sanders’ recruiting talent has benefitted the Buffaloes, and it shows his popularity among young football players. Lewis had committed to USC last year in August. However, he changed his plans three months later, which opened his recruitment once again.

He reportedly visited Georgia, his home state, which was among his top choices. However, after a meeting with Sanders in Colorado, he was convinced he belongs in Boulder.
