Former Giants QB Eli Manning received a semifinalist spot in the 2025 Hall of Fame class -- NFL fans expressed their disregard at his inclusion.

Eli Manning has been selected as a semifinalist for the 2025 Hall of Fame class. The former New York Giants quarterback made the list in his first year of eligibility.

Along with Manning, 24 other players have also been named semifinalists. However, NFL fans are upset with the 43-year-old making the cut, and they aren’t shying away from sharing their views.

Eli Manning’s Hall of Fame Semifinalist Status in Question Among NFL Fans

The first overall pick of the 2004 NFL Draft spent his entire career with the Giants. The four-time Pro Bowler got his hands on the Lombardi Trophy twice as well. The QB registered 57,023 passing yards in his 15 seasons along with 366 touchdowns.

On Wednesday, the official X (previously Twitter) page of the Pro Football Hall of Fame informed fans about the 25 men who have been shortlisted.

The fans were shocked to find Manning’s name in the attached picture, the same QB who holds a record for losing most fumbles (99). “LOL ELI MANNING !!! what joke,” tweeted a fan.

“Eli Manning about to be a stain on the HoF list,” one fan added.

“Eli Manning is not a Hall of Famer.. he is literally getting in bc of his last name,” one fan responded.

“Eli Manning was a .500 qb. He should not get in,” replied a fan.

“Eli Manning has a 117-117 record as a starting QB and has thrown 244 ints. He is absolutely NOT a Hall of Famer,” another fan added.

“This is stacked. Luke Kueckly, Antonio Gates, Adam Vinatieri should all get in. Eli Manning shouldn’t even be here and is only here because he beat the Patriots twice in the Super Bowl lol,” tweeted a fan.

The Manning Sibling Rivalry Is Set To Continue Once Again

During their playing days, Eli faced off against his brother Peyton Manning thrice on the field. Peyton ended up winning each affair, twice with the Indianapolis Colts and once with the Denver Broncos. However, they have continued their rivalry as the head coaches in Pro Bowl games.

For the last two seasons, the brothers have faced off and it is Eli’s NFC squads that have trumped Peyton twice. For next year’s Pro Bowl games, they have once again been selected as the HCs.

“I love everything about the Pro Bowl Games. And getting to hear Peyton complain about losing every year makes it even better,” said Eli on the prospect of facing his brother again.
