Fans have their say as the NFL reaches a decision regarding the Donald Trump dance to YMCA being performed by athletes on the field.

Donald Trump’s dance to the classic YMCA song has taken over the nation. Several athletes across sports are getting in on it. However, with the NFL’s strict stance against politics within the game, there was an expectation that the league might find the dance questionable.

It has been reported that, as of now, the NFL has no issues with the Trump dance, and fans can’t even believe it was up for debate.

NFL Clarifies Stance on Donald Trump’s Dance Move Performed by Players

Fox Sports NFL Insider Jordan Schultz took to X (formerly Twitter) to share his findings regarding the NFL’s thought process behind the viral dance moves.

“President-elect Donald Trump’s signature dance, which several NFL players have adopted in celebrations, is not an issue for the league, according to sources,” Schultz tweeted.

“The Trump dance is good with the league office,” he added. Meanwhile, fans couldn’t believe that this dance could be an issue to begin with.

“Absolutely no one cares or complained about this,” replied one fan.

“The fact that the league has to comment on this is ridiculous,” added another fan.

“Why would it be? It’s a dance lmfao,” said someone else.

“The fact that this requires a tweet is so insane it’s just a dumb dance,” responded one fan.

“It shouldn’t be anyways. It’s an expression/celebration. Not a big deal,” tweeted another.

Brock Bowers Highlighted Inspiration Behind Trump Dance

Before Brock Bowers put on the moves, the dance had been taking hold in the football world, including at the college level. However, the Las Vegas Raiders rookie had received a mixed reaction to his celebration from fans.

The 21-year-old later clarified that UFC Heavyweight Champion Jon Jones was his inspiration behind the viral moves in the red zone.

“I’ve seen everyone do it,” Bowers said via USA Today. “I watched the UFC fight last night, and Jon Jones did it. I like watching UFC, so I saw it and thought it was cool.”

Jones pulled off the moves in the octagon at UFC 309 after knocking out former champion Stipe Miocic. Jones performed the iconic dance while the President-elect was watching the show from the front row in Madison Square Garden.
