‘Makes Me Sick to My Stomach’ – Chicago Radio Caller Shreds Matt Eberflus in Vicious Rant After Bears Loss

    Published on

Matt Eberflus received a scathing review after the Bears dropped another game against the Packers -- making one fan question the HC's smartness on live radio.

Chicago Bears head Matt Eberflus couldn’t guide his team to victory against their perennial rivals, the Green Bay Packers. As a result, the Bears have now suffered four straight losses — and 11 straight to Green Bay.

One fan’s frustration boiled over on a radio show as he ranted against Eberflus, which united Bears fans.

Bears Fan Rips Apart Matt Eberflus’ Credibility on Live Radio

After Chicago’s losing streak was extended, fans have been calling for the 54-year-old Eberflus to be axed. However, one fan completely encapsulated the experience of being a Bears fan in these tumultuous times.

“It was arrogance from a loser coach who has no business in that position,” said the radio caller on 67.0 The Score. “He should’ve been out of here. Finding a way to not use the time to get a little closer for this team against the Packers.

“I don’t even care if he had lost both games against the Packers, but the way we’re losing, it shows me that there’s arrogance in this moron,” he continued. “And that combination is awful, it’s inexcusable, and we gotta move on from this guy.

“He’s not the answer. I’d love to see them break tradition and get rid of him now; it’s not gonna happen, it makes me sick to my stomach, to my core, and it drives me nuts,” added the fan.

Under Eberflus, the Bears have finished at the bottom of the NFC twice in a row. With a record of 4-6, they are once again in the same position.

Eberflus Defends Decision To Go for 46-Yard Kick

With 35 seconds left on the clock and one timeout in hand, the Bears decided to go for the 46-yard field-goal attempt. Many pundits argued that Chicago should have used the time to get closer to the goal line and then go for the kick. Eberflus did not agree, however, as he stated after the game.

“They were loading the box there,” said the Chicago HC. “You could say you could do that for sure, maybe get a couple more yards, but you’re also going to risk fumbling and different things there. We felt where we were, if we’re at the 36 or 35, you definitely want to do that because you want to get it inside there.

“I felt very confident where we were at that time with the wind and where we were on the field,” he added. In the end, Eberflus made the wrong call as Cairo Santos’ attempt was blocked by the Packers.
