Chris Canty dissected the New York Giants' current standing in the NFL and that it might not be an apt fit for quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Former New York Giants and current radio host Chris Canty strongly believes Shedeur Sanders should consider New York as a potential NFL landing spot. On a recent episode of “Unsportsmanlike Radio,” Canty pointed out what he sees as major red flags with the Giants franchise, suggesting it’s a place Deion Sanders wouldn’t want his son Shedeur to end up.

Chris Canty Sees Red Flags for Shedeur Sanders With Giants

Canty started with the franchise’s standing issues, noting, “I don’t think I see Shedeur being there, and I think a big part of it is the state of the franchise.”

He didn’t hold back on the Giants’ recent track record either, adding, “Since Super Bowl 46, the New York Giants are 78-126 in the regular season. They have the fourth-worst win percentage of all franchises in football.”

Canty said that performance would make any parent, especially someone like Coach Prime, hesitate to let their son join the team.

“If you’re Deion Sanders, why the hell would you want Shedeur Sanders to sign up for that?”

Meanwhile, according to insider Adam Schefter, the Giants are expected to start Tommy DeVito in Week 12. This signals a shift in New York’squarterback lineup amid a challenging season. However, for fans or former players like Canty, it also means that Coach Prime might have other plans than seeing Shedeur in a Giants uniform.

Canty Suggests Cleveland Browns Have a Shot With Sanders

Shedeur Sanders’ stats this season back up the hype of his draft stock, with 3,222 passing yards, 27 touchdowns, and just seven interceptions, putting him 19th in QB rating. He has helped the Colorado Buffaloes to a solid 8-2 record to this point.

While there’s still buzz around his NFL future, Canty suggested that the Cleveland Browns could be able to fit Sanders in if they released DeShaun Watson somehow.

Meanwhile, Sanders has kept fans guessing about his preferred NFL destination ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft. Though he’s projected as a top pick, Deion Sanders may step in to help guide his son to the right fit.

“I’ll do it privately,” Coach Prime told Michael Irvin, as reported by The Spun, suggesting he could influence Shedeur’s NFL future.

Shedeur has been linked with teams like the Browns and the Carolina Panthers. On social media, his recent activity has stirred up additional rumors.

Fans noticed that after each Las Vegas Raiders loss, Sanders has been posting a simple “Thank you, GOD,” sparking speculation that he could be hinting at a preference to join the Raiders.

As the 2025 NFL Draft approaches, Shedeur and his father’s potential influence over his first NFL team will remain a hot topic.
