Tommy DeVito and Cooper Rush are set to face off on Thanksgiving Day as the Giants and the Cowboys clash. However, fans want none of it.

The New York Giants have seemingly decided to make a big change ahead of their Week 12 game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers: Daniel Jones is headed to the bench.

However, fans are looking a week ahead. The Week 13 matchup on Thanksgiving Day will feature a battle against the Dallas Cowboys, and fans are unimpressed with the potential lineups.

Tommy DeVito To Feature in the Giants vs. Cowboys Clash on Thanksgiving Day

Earlier today, it was reported that the Giants will be remove Jones as starter in favor of Tommy DeVito. This move is in line with head coach Brian Daboll’s statement regarding upcoming changes after the team went 2-8.

On the other hand, the Cowboys will be without Dak Prescott who is nursing an injury and Cooper Rush has taken over the QB1. This dawned on the fans and analysts alike as one NFL reporter took to his X (previously Twitter) to share the game’s possible lineup.

“Cooper Rush versus Tommy DeVito on Thanksgiving Day. What a scene,” he wrote.

The fans quickly banded together to demand and request that this game be moved from its current scheduling. “Can we flex this garbage out, put it on Nickelodeon – Sunday 7 am slot,” added a fan.

“Forcing myself to watch that s*** show bc I just really want to watch football with some Thanksgiving food and drinks whilst having the day off,” another fan added.

“They need to flex that game,” tweeted a fan.

“NFL needs to pull their weight here and step in to flex that game to the 11 am slot,” responded one fan.

“Thanksgiving nap will be perfect for this,” replied one fan.

“They need to flex that child’s play to Disney channel or something,” tweeted a fan.

Why Is Daniel Jones Being Benched by the Giants in Favor of Tommy DeVito?

While the Giants have performed poorly this season under Jones, the performance could not be the only issue behind his benching. The Giants could be going the route of the Denver Broncos.

As per Jones’ $160 million contract extension signed last year, the franchise will have a $22.2 million dead money charge if they cut him. However, this figure could balloon if the QB gets injured.

In such a scenario, it could be possible that we have seen the last of Jones in a Giants jersey. Apart from DeVito, the team also has QB Drew Lock on their roster for the remaining seven games.
