Is Trevor Lawrence Playing in Week 11?
Jaguars head coach Doug Pederson officially ruled Trevor Lawrence out for Week 11 on Wednesday. Mac Jones will make his second consecutive start.
Lawrence is dealing with a significant AC joint sprain in his left, non-throwing shoulder. The Athletic’s Dianna Russini reported this week that Lawrence is “gathering information” about his injury and appears to be considering all options.
Jacksonville will be 2-9 if it loses to Detroit, leaving little incentive for Lawrence to fight through his shoulder injury.
We’ll continue to monitor the Jaguars’ injury report. You can also visit and bookmark our NFL Injury Tracker and Fantasy News Tracker for the latest updates.
Trevor Lawrence’s Fantasy Outlook
Early reports indicate that this is a week-to-week situation when it comes to the health of Trevor Lawrence’s shoulder, but if you’re playing competitive games at this point in the season, you’re not interested in Jacksonville’s QB situation.
I’m tempted to believe that the Jags take a cautious approach given their 2-8 record and their commitment through 2028 to Lawrence. Mac Jones was unable to find success last week, and I fear that is the fate of this offense regardless of who is under center.
Detroit’s D/ST has the potential to post a big number, and if that is your angle, I’d rather see Jones under center.
