Colorado fans, brace yourselves! Deion Sanders Jr., son of former NFL superstar and current head coach of the Colorado Buffaloes, Deion Sanders, just dropped an exciting update for game day. In true Coach Prime style, he’s bringing rap and football together.
Deion Sanders Jr. Hints at Surprise Guest at Colorado Game
Sanders Jr. (fondly called Bucky) confirmed that none other than Grammy-winning rapper Young Thug will be at Colorado’s upcoming game. The younger Sanders took to his X (formerly Twitter) account on Nov. 7, posting, “Talked to her and Thug on FaceTime last night…. It’s happening.”
This was in response to Young Thug’s sister, Dolly White, hinting at their appearance with her own post: “We coming 🤫.”

When Young Thug enters the Folsom Field in Boulder, Colo., it will be his first public appearance since being released from jail. For Sanders, it’s more than just a wish granted — he’s been keen to bring new cultural energy to the Buffs, and what better way than by introducing a hip-hop heavyweight to the stadium?
Sanders Jr., who’s no stranger to the rap world himself, has worked with icons like Snoop Dogg through Death Row Records. The Buffs might just witness a thrilling fusion of football and music, with fans hoping for a possible post-game studio session to follow.
Deion Sanders’ Quarterback Son Will Be Raising Temperatures in the 2025 NFL Draft
Shedeur Sanders is touted to be one of the first names off the board in the 2025 NFL Draft. Deion Sanders’ youngest son has been turning heads all season. He has piled up 2,591 passing yards and 21 touchdown passes through 10 weeks, positioning himself as a top NFL prospect.
This season, the 22-year-old QB’s skills have helped the Buffs secure bowl eligibility, and the team is going hard for the Big 12 conference championship with a 6-2 record.
Fans and experts alike are buzzing about the young QB’s NFL potential. Former NFL standout Darius Butler shared his high praise for Coach Prime’s son on “The Pat McAfee Show,” saying that Shedeur’s talent isn’t limited to just one level.
“He’s done it on the HBCU level and now he’s lighting it up in Colorado. Whoever you are, he’s going to stack those chips and continue with it,” Butler said.

Though Deion’s son could have joined the 2024 NFL Draft class, where Caleb Williams took the No. 1 pick, he chose to stay at Colorado for one more season.
“I respect Caleb … but overall, there’s just different tiers of quarterbacks,” Sanders shared while revealing his goal of being the first quarterback taken in 2025.
