Jason Kelce has gone viral for defending the honor of his brother Travis Kelce after the former Philadelphia Eagles center smashed a fan’s phone to do so.
The 36-year-old is receiving support all across the board for his actions. Meanwhile, one of Kelce’s former teammates went to the root cause of the issues that led the fan to behave in such a manner.

Kelce was present in State College, Pennsylvania, at ESPN’s College GameDay. While the former Eagles player was walking around, one person started provoking him by using homophobic slurs directed toward his brother.
“Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a f***** for dating Taylor Swift?” the fan said. The 2018 Super Bowl winner turned around and smashed the person’s phone, and then said, “Who’s the f***** now?”
Kelce’s actions have garnered him a ton of support. Meanwhile, former NFL defensive end Chris Long talked about the aftermath on X (previously Twitter).
“Kid probably spun this positively. ‘Jason Kelce smashed my phone.’ Generation of clout chasers. Wish there were more serious repercussions for violating but alas… an assault charge can ruin your weekend,” he tweeted.

When fans asked him what could cause such a reaction from a person for dating Taylor Swift, Long did not hold back and replied, “Incel culture all time high.”

Kelce Receives Further Support
After the viral video, the mayor of Kansas City, Quinton Lucas, applauded the actions of the seven-time Pro Bowler on X. “I shouldn’t say, but whatever. I appreciate Jason Kelce standing up for his family,” Lucas tweeted.
College basketball analyst Doug Gottlieb took to X to have his say as well.
“I’ve been in lots of crowds where people yell dumb stuff, but it is getting worse. Kid needs an a** whoopin, .@tkelcecanr because he has a huge career after his outstanding career,” Gottlieb tweeted.
As of now, Travis Kelce has not made any comment on the matter as of now. The Kansas City Chiefs tight end and three-time Super Bowl winner is preparing for his clash against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 9 on Monday night.
