While the New York Jets and Pittsburgh Steelers appear to be heading in opposite directions based on their records, they both head into Sunday night’s matchup after creating a lot of buzz around the league.
A week after firing their head coach Robert Saleh, the 2-4 Jets acquired veteran wide receiver Davante Adams from the Las Vegas Raiders. The trade reunites Adams with Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who were teammates with the Green Bay Packers for eight seasons.
Meanwhile, the Steelers reportedly are considering changing their starting quarterback. Veteran Russell Wilson, who has been battling an injury since the preseason, is in place to get the start over Justin Fields, despite Fields leading Pittsburgh to a 4-2 record and a tie for first place in the AFC North.
