‘CAREER OVER’ — NFL Fans Slam Haason Reddick for Reportedly Cheating Business Partner for $1,600,000, Threatening With Black-Gloved Security

    Published on

Fans fear the worst after New York Jets' Haason Reddick reportedly cheated a business partner for over $1 million and threatened him with security.

Haason Reddick is the only player in the NFL who is still on a holdout. The New York Jets player has lost $12.2 million due to not attending the training camp and missing the first five games of the season.

The Philadelphia Eagles traded Reddick to the Jets in March, and after failing to agree on a contract extension, the 30-year-old linebacker has decided not to play for the Jets.

As per the New York Post, based on a lawsuit, Reddick has cheated a business partner, Micah Khan, out of $1.6 million. Allegedly, he also sent goons to intimidate Khan.

More Details on Haason Reddick Threatening a Business Partner

In 2018, Reddick bought the Haven Home Health Agency in Philadelphia and relied upon his dad, Raymond Matthews, and his dad’s ex-wife, Tia Wright, to run it. Since Matthews and Wright had no experience running such a business, it was running at a loss in 2021.

In the lawsuit filed by Khan, he mentions that Reddick and his family reached out to him since “he had experience in the home health industry and requested he take a lead role in the marketing and business development for Haven.”

An agreement between Khan and the Jets player specified that if the company was sold, Khan was supposed to receive “half of the sale proceeds.”

Khan’s efforts made the agency very successful, but despite that, he did not receive his share after Haven agreed to sell the company in April to MNH Pa. Home Care Acquisitions for $3.25 million.

When he asked for his share, Khan was allegedly physically threatened by Matthews on the order of Reddick. The lawsuit states that Mr. Matthews brought “more than a dozen black-gloved men to a business meeting” where they intended to breach the payment agreement.

Fans on social media were left stunned after seeing the news and condemned Reddick for his actions.

“This trade is getting worse by each day,” said one fan.

“First NFL player to get CTE from a trade,” added another fan.

“Dude is literally derailing his career in front of our very eyes,” said one fan.

“Joe Douglas willingly traded a 3rd round pick for this guy … and some ppl wanna extend him,” added a fan in critique of the Jets general manager’s decision

    Reddick’s Contract and Trade Details

The Eagles traded Reddick to the Jets in exchange for a 2026 third-round pick, which would have converted into a second-round pick if the linebacker played more than 67.5% of snaps and had 10+ sacks.

In 2022, he signed a three-year $45 million contract with the Eagles and will be a free agent next year. He was traded because he could not reach an extension with the Eagles. Since he did not get a favorable deal from the Jets, he decided not to play for them.

Reddick is losing $800,000 for every game that he does not play. If he misses the entire season, the two-time Pro Bowler will lose $21.75 million. It includes $14.25 million in base salary, $3 million in bonus forfeiture, and $4.5 million in fines. Moreover, his agency, CAA, also fired him this past week.

He had 11+ sacks in each of the last four seasons, and nobody knows what the future holds for Reddick.
