‘Shut the Whole Team Down ATP’ — Colts Fans Panic After Team Rules Out Jonathan Taylor for Week 6 Clash vs. Titans

    Published on

The latest Jonathan Taylor injury update for Week 6 against the Tennessee Titans has Indianapolis Colts fans worried about the team.

Jonathan Taylor suffered an ankle injury during the Indianapolis Colts’ Week 4 win against the Pittsburgh Steelers. He did not play against the Jacksonville Jaguars last week, a game his team lost 37-34.

As per reports, Taylor has been ruled out for the Week 6 game against the Tennesee Titans. This is another big injury blow for the Colts, who are 2-3 this season.

After the news that the running back would not play in Week 6 came out, the Colts’ fans were extremely devastated and expressed their concern.

Fans React to Jonathan Taylor’s Injury Update for Week 6

Here’s how the fans on social media reacted to Taylor not playing in Week 6:

“This is why they should have kept Zack Moss. He performed well last year because JT can’t stay healthy,” said one Colts fan.

“He is way too injury-prone,” added another fan.

“Hard to be competitive when we can’t keep our guys healthy,” said another fan on X (formerly Twitter).

“Colts are in trouble,” added another fan.

Taylor had an impressive start to the season but won’t play due to a high ankle sprain. In four games this year, the Colts’ star rushed for 349 yards and four touchdowns on 72 carries, averaging 4.8 yards per carry. He also had six receptions for 77 yards this season.

With Taylor out, Trey Sermon will be the team’s primary running back against the Titans. Tennessee has the league’s best passing defense, allowing teams an average of just 124.0 passing yards per game. This was a perfect game for the Colts to completely rely on the 25-year-old running back, one of the best players at his position.

Sermon had 10 carries for 38 yards and a touchdown against the Jaguars, but he will be utilized much more in the game against the Titans. Tyler Goodson will be the Colts’ RB2 this week.

Colts Injury Update for Week 6: Michael Pittman Jr. and Anthony Richardson

The Colts will be without Taylor in Week 6, but quarterback Anthony Richardson is trending toward playing after missing the game against the Jaguars.

Moreover, Michael Pittman Jr. was expected to land on the injured reserve due to a back injury, but surprisingly, he practiced on Friday with helmets on and caught passes. He is currently listed as questionable for the game against the Titans but could play on Sunday.

Josh Downs is also listed as questionable for Week 6 due to a toe injury, but he also practiced on Friday. If everything goes well, the Colts will have everyone on offense apart from Taylor.

The Colts offense is averaging 23.8 points per game and is coming off a 34-point performance against Jacksonville. However, Joe Flacco was Indy’s quarterback in that game, and whether or not Richardson will be able to replicate that performance remains to be seen.
